Purchased this album in 1970 and finally the music I was waiting for had arrived, a historic album that defined hard rock and the evolution into metal and many of its genres ..great great tune and the best is yet to come ..great review again, keep it coming ..

@@Ryugine Child in Time is an epic masterpiece that is the template of so many styles to follow whether it be Gillan’s operatic vocals, the masterful emotive bombastic guitar of Blackmore, Lord’s melodic pooping organ through the Marshalls to the dynamic rhythms of Paice and Glover …. This tune was played numerous times by Purple in 1969 even as an opening number to DeepPurple’s Concerto for Group and Orchestra broadcast and recorded live in Sept 1969 ..

...this is the weakest song on the album, but still good 😄! I'm already looking forward to the next songs, but especially to the next one 😉!! Thanks! ... FYI: The song “Black Night” was released as a single and is not on the original album. It was only integrated into a new edition in 1995! 🎸🥁🎹🎤

Weakest song of the album?!? It was my favorite when l first got hold of the record. Only hard lovin man has somewhat surpassed it. Well DP is omnipotent...
