Welcome to this week's FEATURE FRIDAY ✌
This week we get to know about MOROCCAN music for the first time, Starting with Mohamed Ramadan & Saad Lamjarred - Ensay, but unfortunately due to copyright issues we had to cut it out. Followed by Asma Lmnawar - Andou Zine. We then ventured into the world of Saad Lamjarred - LM3ALLEM. Faouzia - ELON, blew us away, and to finish it all off, we enjoyed the super emotional song by Salma Rachid - Ah Ya Liam.
Overall, an amazing, fun podcast!👏 MOROCCO YOU ROCK!
Tune in this Sunday on FEATURE FRIDAY PLUS PODCAST at 12pm UK time, where we'll be joined by the Amazing Filipino legend, Pilta Corrales🤩😮
See you Sunday 12pm Uk Time!👌
Thank you so much for the incredible suggestions! You guys ARE AMAZING! ♥♥♥♥

Of course we would love a part 2 , actually Salma Rachid is one of the most powerful Moroccan voices in my opinion, she was discovered in Arab Idol. Saad Lamjarred is an icon in the arab world , his music is always good. Asma Lmnawar is respected a lot , she was known for a more classical type of singing in her beginnings . Faouzia is amazing and btw Mohamed Ramadan is Egyptian. Thanks a lot for this , I enjoyed it a lot :)

@@hilaryy5654 I’m sorry to disagree but Like I don’t want to be mean or anything but Faouzia is way better than a Salma Rachid. Faouzia trills vocal runs and belting is everything other artist can’t do like Salma is good but live we all know who has a better voice and can handle anyone and that’s Faouzia thank you and this is just based on facts

@@rayjulmary i'm literally a Fawn and i know that nobody does it her way. She's phenomenal. No comparison is needed , they both have amazing voices and they do not sing the same. And as I said Salma has ONE of the most powerful voices in my opinion, I didn't say she has the most powerful one. Salma sounds good live too though , I'm just not a big fan of her choices.

Quick informations (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) : - Moroccan usually speaks Berber (Amazigh) +Arabic mixed with French or Spanish I guess, so it's a little bit hard to fully understand them by other Arabs, unless they speaks Fus'haa (Standard Arabic dialect). - Arabic language is a little bit complicated but simply letter (J) pronounced same as English +double (R) as Spanish 🤝 - Mohammed Ramadan is Egyptian & for me, the first song had more influence from Egypt, instrumentally & melodiecally. - Number 3 in Lm3allem pronounced as letter (ع) in Arabic +in general numbers represents letters that only exist in Arabic alphabet (modernism) such as number 5 which is pronounced as letter (خ)...etc. - Faouzia pronounced Fa-oo-zi-ah/Fo-zi-ah. We appreciate your time & effort to learn about/react to Arabic language, culture & music, although we know it's a little bit hard to find out the right informations through Google ugh... Thank you so much 🤍

They have a clear ping to their tone. It’s so crystal clear, the way they do the rifs sort of things are amazing. Ah.. beautiful. I listen to Arabic music even though I have no idea what it is... the music is just rich and melodic and beautiful

Girl I just love you ! Your sensibility to the details of how the notes end at the end of each sentence this is what matters most in Arabic music in general we call it « orab » and it’s how you end the last word, it’s very open art and there is no rules it’s up to each Arabic country to improvise and give a beautiful ending to each sentence and it appears that this ending touches your soul, looking at your face and how you react ❤

Thank you guys for your reaction, it's always fun to see. Here are some Moroccan music recommandations: 1.Moroccan rap: - SNOR - LALALA (a creative artist that i respect -> he create his music and also the content of his video clips) - SNOR - De9a De9a (a chill song + de9a is pronounced deka) - ISSAM - Trap Beldi (nostalgic vibe) - INKONNU - KNZ (A song with a twist) - Anys ft. Dizzy DROS - Kobe (THE VIBE) - Asmae - First (Female artist) 2.Moroccan pop: (Dance vibe) - Manal - SLAY x ElGrandeToto - MANAL - NIYA (a video clip showing moroccan culture) - AZIZ - CASABLANCA (an afro vibe) - Jaylann - Allo Allo (Vocals scream) - Hind Ziadi - Majnouna (a fun video clip + inspired from moroccan folk music - Saad Lamjarred - Ghazali - Saad Lamjarred - CASABLANCA (he sings mostly in french in this song) - Aezaddy - Bambina - Aezaddy - Andale (an afro vibe) - Hatim Ammor - Akher Marra (a video clip filmed in amsterdam) - Zouhair Bahaoui - DÉCAPOTABLE - Muslim - My Lady 3.Moroccan pop (slow and sentimental music) - Hatim Ammor - Bla 3onwane - Hatim Ammor - Aalach Ya Lil - Dizzy DROS - NOTA - YASSINE JARRAM - CHAW9 (Cham9 is pronounced chawk + sings in "the classical" arabic not in moroccan dialect) - Manal - NTA - Nada - Jrit (All her songs are so beautiful) 4. About the acoustic song when you said "she is like in the between" ... Actually in arabic music we have what is called The Arabic maqam which is a melody type. It is "a technique of improvisation" that defines the pitches, patterns, and development of a piece of music and is "unique to Arabian art music". There are 72 heptatonic tone rows or scales of maqamat. These are constructed from major, neutral, and minor seconds.

I was 10 when M3allem was released, I'll be 17 in few days. Saad is THE BEST ARABIC MALE SINGER (yes). Listening to this song today makes me feel so old, happy and proud. IT WILL NEVER DIE ! Salma Rachid's song is one of the hardest songs to sing (i can actually sing but this one kills my throat 😂). There's a normal version but i think the acoustic one was on the last episode of a very popular series and everybody said it is amazing so she released it on her KZbin channel. A very emotional song about family (especially fathers) and its value in everyone's life.

Guys we definetly need a part 2! Moroccan music is literally the best! If you're intrested in some suggestions: check out: MANAL BK, Shayfeen, El Grande Toto Moroccan Dialect is the most complicated to understand, most arabs don't understand what we're saying bc we mix Arabic, French and sometimes spanish in our dialect. But we understand most of the Arabic dialects and most Moroccans speak not only the dialect but Amazigh, French, English and Spanish.
