Iam flying to Marrakech on tuesday for my birthday so was handy to see the latest scams especially the paying for pics/ videos as that would've gotten me in some arguments im sure lol. How much was the helicopter tour and what was the name of the company?

I have visited Moroccan many times including just with girlfriends. I have never felt in danger including walking through the closed souk at Tangier at midnight going back to the hotel. Actually a young man asked if we were ok and escorted us to the hotel, said goodnight and left without asking for anything. Marrakech is probably more prone to tourist traps. The people are lovely and they do try it on but are graceful. if you are confident and firmly say La (no) with a smile they move on

Love your videos. And in this one I was so pleased that you were honest about the four scams. It is important for us all to know that it is not all first class travel all the time and that this tour brought you back to the reality of being ripped off and cheated, like the rest of us normal travellers and tourists. It would be interesting if you come across any more scams on your travels. I hope that would not cause conflict with what you are videoing. I am presently touring India where like Morocco I don't know if it is actually scams that are going on but just very pushy people trying to get as much money out of us as possible - and spoiling our experience a little bit.

Hi Sam, I've only just recently joined your channel and I've spent the last week literally trying to watch every single video you've posted upto today...your videos are simply wonderful!.... We recently went to Morocco to visit my father who lives in Marrakech. We flew from Orly with Transavia with our 2 girls; the plane experience wasn't too bad for economy... I just wanted to point out that yes, there are quite a few well known scams in Morocco but nothing that can stop you living the experience. Scams can follow you all the way up into the mountains but We got a good view and enjoyed our long walks under 43°C and then coming back home to jump into the swimming pool... So all readers, learn how to avoid scams before landing and enjoy the view and the stay - life is better when you stay out of the shade not living in fear :-)

Yes, Scamming is getting bad everywhere there are tourists.....I had many try at the Eiffel Tower, Egypt, Rome, Thailand, Las Vegas.....It gets so old....my friend just came back from Jamaica and couldn't even relax on the beach so many people trying to sell her stuff, she left...I only go to places where there are no tourists now...

I am Moroccan and I gotta admit that I got scammed in Marrakesh too. Honestly, there are a lot of things and places you could enjoy in Morocco however you gotta be cautious of these kind of scammers cos they're everywhere. I like how objective you were being in your vlog. Although you got scammed several times, you never made a general negative review on Morocco unlike most other vloggers who as soon as they got scammed, they all go "Morocco is a bad country to visit".

I enjoy Morocco spices. Purchased a few bags 3 years ago. I still make curry with it, but keep it in the freezer like the Moroccan man instructed me. Also EC AS350 (Écureuil or Squirrel) is a great machine. I hope yours had an air conditioner. Great video, Sam. Thank you.

I live and work in Morocco, and the taxi’s are the worst. They’ll try and scam anyone who looks like a tourist.

Прайм КЗ i am a Moroccan and i gotta admit that taxis here are the worst specially these last years. Anyway, concerning the prices i guess that it depends on whether the city you’re in is a big or a small one normally in my city, which isn’t really touristic, if the taxi meter shows less then 6dhs than you’re going to pay 7dhs (0,7€) but if its more than 6dhs then you will pay what the taxi meter has shown But as I said taxi drivers here are really bad and big cheaters if you look anything like a tourist you will definitely be scammed and prices can go up to 100dhs (10€) so be sure to read the taxi fares before taking the taxi

I have visiting 2 times in Morocco,last year i was in Casablanca and Marrakech. I stayed 3 weeks each time. It is wonderful country and wonderful people,i highly recommend every one to go there and see it. Of course every country have bad and cheating peoples. I don't have nothing bad to say about Morocco.

Sorry to hear you got scammed it really ruins any destination. The places I've gone and not had to deal with scammers are some of my favorite places. I really like Asia especially Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore because scams are not frequent and often unheard of. In any destination the most important thing is that you can trust the local people if you don't feel that way then it is difficult to enjoy the destination. I love the vlog and the food looked great!
