Yet another superb video, thank you. Motorhome/Sprinter or Defender. We have travelled in Europe in a Motorhome and in a Defender. When we were in the Motorhome we were never greeted enthusiastically by locals and often they obviously did not appreciate us being around. Now we are travelling in the Defender we are met with enthusiasm and a very friendly attitude. Never a problem finding somewhere to stay. People stop to take photos, take photos as we are driving and are generally very welcoming. Even border crossings are easier as we usually get big smiles and a thumbs up. This is worth a lot and while the Defender does have disadvantages with regards to storage and living space - our vehicle of choice now would always be the Defender. I'm sure others will not agree with these views but this has been our experience.

Yes the beautiful Land Rover ability to get to sooooo many places that 4x4 vans can not . And down narrow streets that r.v.s can’t . Plus’s there great departure angles make them so great for over landing use . And they just look like there on a epic adventure even siting still . I'm only a few minutes in and have to leave a comment already! Don't worry, it's a nice one. The mud bricks is very interesting and a traveller that learns as they travel is someone that enriches their life. That already impressed me. The interesting thing is that we don't have to travel as far as Africa either. I was watching last Sunday's episode of 'I Farm. We Farm." on KZbin last week which as the name suggest is a farming channel. Based in Ireland, Adrian the farmer explained that in his area of Ireland, that most old houses were built made of mud. That was something that I didn't know. He's doing up an old cottage on his farm and last week's episode was about his plans for that cottage which is currently in a dilapidated state. It's worth a watch too. Of course, not only Ireland, but on the island of Great Britain, wattle and daub was a popular building method also and that is essentially a stick frame with mud plastered in and around it. I think, if my memory serves me correctly, that manure (horses I think) was used and straw was also a necessity. Just goes to show that people had the same ideas all over the planet and that we aren't as different as many like to think.

I think you summed up Marrakech very well. You are right about the safety. The army are always around. I am lucky to have land in the High Atlas with my nearest neighbour 2km away. You are also right about it being pricey, but if you haggle it is a lot cheaper.

Nice to see young Jess enjoying herself must be nice to be eighteen, his lordship is right about the older Land Rover series one and discovery the older models can basically be repaired with the minimum of facilities and they are basically indestructible. I used to be able to do most things with my old Datsun sunny in the eighties changing alternators and spark plug but now lift the bonnet now forget it you need a degree in engineering just to change a headlight bulb

Great video, brings back memories of trips to Marrakesh. There's also a colonial area that reminded me of Saigon and the modern section with a fantastic ice cream parlor in the main train station. Keep up the "entertainment"!

After reading this I had to go straight to the news!! Truly awful news. Condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one & speedy recovery to all injured & anyone involved in the incident. Well done to the police officer who is a hero/heroine even though they will probably say they were just doing their duty, but until you are in situations, you never know how you will react & deal with things. Sending love & good wishes to everyone.

Thank you for the beautiful video. By the way: You stayed overnight at the first spot IN a wadi (arabic 'oued') - please be aware that there can be quite dangerous flash floods there (even if you don’t notice any rain because the thunderstorm may be far away). Locals advised us against it after we also set up our camp IN an absolute dry valley. (There is a saying: “In the desert, more people drown than die of thirst.”) Keep safe and I wish you a lot more beautiful travel experiences!
