Showing the negative side is good as it allows people to make in informed decision to visit, rather that turn up expecting all roses and be disappointed. On the water, I would get a small USB rechargeable shower unit and use the black container as it would save the life of the lifesaver filter, which are not cheap and the black container will be warmer water. Loved the surfing moves 🏄🏼‍♀🏄🏼‍♂

All the experiences you mention (pros and cons) spot on in my experience. I’ll add a couple of negatives though, the open lechery in Marrakesh was embarrassing and ruined my time there - I was with an older female friend who gets really upset by this. I’m also a photographer and found taking any images difficult because, as you say, you don’t know whether you’re going to get hassled for money. This was a shame for me because it made me distrustful of the genuinely nice folk. I was hassled aggressively by a stall holder who became very nasty when I wouldn’t buy something I’d touched right outside of one of the busiest cafes. We were led down a lot of back alleys when we asked for directions - luckily we realised and remembered our way back. We stayed with a French & Moroccan couple in the Atlas Mountains after the city and they told us how Morocco has changed dramatically over the years. Amazing place though, and you really do feel like you are immersed in another culture, despite being so close to Europe.

Really enjoyed your Moroccan journey, it brought back many great memories. I loved the doors in Morocco and have many photos of just doors. Watching you dine made my mouth water. I remember when those first came in to service to replace the trucks the Royal Engineers where using for Bridge laying, that was 1998 and I was soon posted back to the UK so never got to see them in action. I think the ones that they had were 6X6. That fuel economy sounds really bad, but it isn't as bad as an Artic that weighs more when fully loads and doesn't have the 4X4 system either. One of the Trucks I drove had twin Tanks so I was carrying about the 1000ltrs and took a bloody long time to fill up. Which is why they still had the looking pins of the fuel pumps at truck stops. As by heck your hand would be in bits with having to hold the nozzle open if they didn't. I used to take a Tennis ball just for those occasion. I had wonder if you were heading towards building an Overlanded. That would be an Epic build! You'll be heading to the Norfolk Mecca of Surfing. Cromer. Often see the Surf School running in the Summer. To say that there were negatives to your experience it didn't come across that way in your videos. Your Videos showed a lot of what is lovely about Morocco, from the People to the Stunning building. The state of the animals could be sadly be down to how much the farmer gets for his crop and may only have enough to get by only just. It isn't right, but no doubt this has been going on for generations. I saw some very rough farms over here when I was on the Foot and Mouth. Some farmers were just managing to get by, and did what they could with their animals in there care. One Farm we had to do welfare on. we had to report the conditions to MAFF (Defra as it is now). This really upset the Farmer, who was lovely. He flock in one shed had noticeable issues with some of their feet. This was down to the fact that he couldn't get them out of his shed and on to his land where they would have recovered due to restrictions on moving live stock at the time. He original thought we were having a go at him. I had to spend time talking to him to explain why we had to do what we did and We didn't think it was down to him. As he could change bedding only top it up. We did come across one Farmer that was a pretty good actor, as we spent two very long days clearing one of his farms. Another team spent three days clearing an Abattoir because of him. He had done something that made it look like his animals had Foot and Mouth and would have made a lot of money in compensation if it wasn't for testing that was carried out. He was the only one that we know of that actively mistreated his animals. We believed he was really upset about the lose of nearly all of his Animals. We cleared 1600 head of sheep and 500 head of cattle. That was our biggest job. That Tool Shop looked very impressive. Would have been able to spend a good few hours in there. I loved the very large hand held whisk that Jess pointed out, Just think of the side of the Fairy Cakes Jess could wipe up with that. Jon I think Jess was trying to muscle in on your Flesh on show again with the Shower. Luckily you manged to one up her! normality is restored!

I felt that we were doing something worth while. We met some lovely Farmers on the Farms we when to. Some of them you could have a good laugh with. I always try to see other sides of a story, not always easy. Some things you just can't.

I would have blocked them in & gone to do my shopping but take pictures of everything in case they damage my vehicle😂😂 In one of the supermarkets near where I live someone parked horizontally across 2 spaces & some lads got a load of shopping trolleys & put them all around the car! Others joined in & there must have been about 70 trolleys just all dumped around it🤣🤣 It must have taken them ages to move them all just to get to the car🤣🤣

Hi Jess and Jon. As much as I like the HX60 I wouldn't go down that route. Stick with the Landie or the Mercedes delivery van. You can retro fit a 4x4 system to the mercedes if you want to go that way. Loving following your adventures, you two are producing some quality entertainment!

I think 10 mpg has got to be a killer and not worth it. I’ve watched a few channels with these huge trucks and it seems to be megalomaniacal. They generally don’t go that far off road. That’s a good point about retrofitting 4x4. Can’t wait to see what Jon has for us next!

Thank you for also including the negatives. It is important. Not to worry though, it is abundantly clear from your videos that Morocco is a very good country to visit and the people seem to be very friendly and very welcoming. I only wish I still lived in Europe to be able to go on these trips. Europe is possibly the best connected continent in the world! Europe itself is quite small in comparison with other continents, making access to Asia and Africa by car quite easy really (I speak comparatively).

That truck is nuts! At 12 grand they were a steal. I'm more of a fan of stealth camping personally but I can't deny that's cool AF. I presume you need an HGV license for one of those? It's bad enough being restricted to 3.5 ton with some of these van builds. Thinking about it I'm suprised more hippies in thier rusty Luton vans filled with a ton of pallets and a cast iron log burner don't get pulled over for weight.

😂😂😂😂 yeah hgv for this one, to be honest I think allot of lwb vans will be overweight, I heard somewhere in Europe they have upped the weight on what your aloud on campers and no change to licence either, wish they did this in the uk

@@truebluetravellers it's a bit mad isn't it? If you did your test long enough ago it was restricted at 7.5 ton and you could drive old busses. Maybe not the busses but 7.5 ton would be really handy these days especially with electric vans becoming more of a thing. I read the other day some of the Iveco long wheelbase vans are nearly over weight before they are loaded and there's some weird loophole where they are often sold new declassified without a tach.
