Thank you for this demo. It is perhaps the best of the many posted so far about Morph EQ. I share your disappointment about the lack of internal modulation. It is bizarre to me that Minimal Audio have focused so much on the brilliant morphing mechanism but have not included LFO’s or audio-reactive modifiers for the plugin’s macro knobs. Perhaps in an update.

Some obvious things that are missing that would bump this up to an awesome pluing would be : Piano like in pro q 3 so you dont have to look up the frequencies and being able to modulate the other paramaters via the morph knob.

It's a great plugin for time-saving. I thought "but I have filters that do that already", but being able to move an unlimited amount of nodes, all with their own independent paths, at once....trhat's where I was sold. The only flaw is having to automate the morph dial. It would be good if it too had its own draw-able path, and I'm surprised that wasn't included

I think I also was already sold by their little teaser some weeks ago, but I bought it then after your video :D This will propably stay in my fx chain all the time, as long as I have to stay with Ableton I wished for it being zero latency but latency is already pretty small. I want more of this company with this gui, it could all fuse together so well as a Vital 2.0 in my mind..

Just a side note on the latency -- it's only below 88.2k -- we use oversampling at lower sample rates to improve quality & the top of the frequency spectrum around nyquist. If you run at 88.2k it will be zero latency

Although a out of sync effect on very tight rhythmic stuff is in my ears worse than some distortion added harmonics etc. In that case, inwhich hypothetically morph eq sits at the end of the chain and is adding the bit of latency that throws the chain off grid - I wouldnt use the material at all then. Maybe you could add this feature as an option! Put on atmospheric stuff the latency wouldnt be a problem at all for example. Depends on the material.

@@KYTHERAOfficial what DAW are you using? We haven’t heard of any DAW which doesn’t latency align (it’s the reason you report it) - also 31 samples should def not be audible! (Unless you’re summing against a non latency compensated dry copy of the same sound in which case you’ll get phasing)

@@MinimalAudio Ableton. In case of putting a note on random style mod on the controls it could go off grid when the accumulated latency of a chain is already at the tipping point of being audible. Thats why I said something like on the end of a chain. On itself alone it wouldnt be audible yes. But thats alread only a problem because Abletons PDC is shit and I am just waiting for visible gridlines in Bitwig to wave goodybe to Ableton (I like Ableton but the PDC is just unacceptable and they are ignoring it)

Hey I got it I have to indeed agree, is very powerful But in my case well my Ableton crash's if I close/open the window constantly that with an LFOand phaseplant along together in the chain but I think is just too much for the cpu I have intel Macbook Pro 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Really cool plug-in! How does the morphing work between nodes? I would think it would be by total length, i.e. 50% morph = 50% of the way to the last node. But your vowel example seems to assume each node is reached at the same time, regardless of total length. Meaning, all bands reach node 2 at the same time, then node 3 at the same time, etc until the last node.

I'm guessing the idea is that they're like keyframes, so they wanted to make it possible to create a midpoint where you can set up a particular sound, then guarantee that you'll always pass through that configuration during a morph.

Where is the Minimal Audio LFO??? In Rift, the LFO is so powerful (S/O to the Randomise feature allowing you to choose a type of randomisation, this is magic and unique), I really wonder why it is not implemented in Morph. Or am I wrong?

It sounds like there is quite a bit of aliasing when you sweep the morph knob, is it the plugin itself or does it come from later in the audio chain? (like your recording system?)

i noticed that too and i think it's because the input signal was just a saw tooth so deep that you could actually hear the wavecycle of the wave a bit. it was sometimes in that region where you're not sure if it's still melody or already rhythm

@@DashGlitch Nope, but filterscape is more simple, you can morph between eq snapshots. So you just modify the snapshots, no drawing curves. Some like this kind, some need mod curves to be happy : )

The no demo policy is annoying. 50 euros isn't exactly breaking the bank, but it's not the kind of money i would drop on any plugin i wasn't able to demo. yeah, i know no quibbles refund policy, but i'd just rather not have to part with cash to begin with just to demo a software product. i'll be giving this one a miss anyways cause of that

This plugin is lame. I can't use automation in Cubase. There is no midi learn either!

Cubase's automation has been broken for decades, alongside the MIDI learn. It works flawlessly in other DAWs, sorry to hear about that - but that was a big reason for me to leave cubase. Lots of standard features don't work, and in my talks with steinberg they weren't interested in taking steps to fix any of it. In V12 they introduced a MIDI update that fixed some MIDI learn stuff, but requires a lot of setup. Cubase is the problem here for sure.

@@DashGlitch Exactly. I like Cubase - but their approach to customer suggestions is frivolous. They have their guidelines and I think they only count on profit - nothing else. For example, there are cool things in cubase 11pro - I won't write which ones now. But I also have 12pro - and there are no such great plugins etc. anymore. Why company policy? It's just idiotic. Why is what's good in 11 not in 12? I'm not surprised you left Cubes. Take care! Tom.
