We just bought our first pastel, but she doesn't have a yellow nose. Should I be sure of her morph.

@Emilee Ann, if she is still a baby she may not have developed yellow lips yet. Many times Pastels are born with white lips, and they turn yellow as they age. You can always send a few pictures to my Instagram @benjamins_exotics as well if you would like me to verify her morph as best as I can.

Thanks for the video. I just got a really nice young pastel from petsmart for 99$ not too bad and im aware that you should stay away from big box stores but my local one has always been clean and in order. They also had a banana for 350$ but i just grabbed the pastel i liked it more.

Hey Benjamin I just got my snake to eat a rat for the first time! The breeder never fed him rats as a baby so my snake only ate mice and he got way too big to eat mice so I tried a rat and he took it! Will he take it Again ? And maybe some tips Because I’m still new this is my first year razing my pet snake so I’m learning every day about ball pythons ! 🐍👍🏻😃

Hey Este Mastenbroek. As long as he switched over to rats, he should eat one again. I always recommend feeding rats, as they are more nutritious that mice and of course a much better size for adult Ball Pythons. If she shows any problems, I would recommend trying to sent the rat and make it smell like a mouse. Hopefully this helps and I wish you the best of success!

Thank you for this. Very informative. I realized that this is the morph that I bought (by accident!) they didn’t know either I guess. My girl looks almost exactly like her. I hope she’s a female and then I could breed my male with her :)
