The hours spent cleaning all of the ancillaries has paid dividends because the engine looks immaculate show standard now. I like the passion of do it once and do it right. Really enjoying these Morris videos, something completely different.

86 years old and the fan didn't need painting. Fantastic and great testimony to the quality of the engineering. Built at a time when shareholders interests were not paramount. Made by true craftsmen. Slight imperfections in the casting, but so what. Love your vids guys. Time to look for something else for the next rebuild.

Hi guys fantastic job Chris is a true master mechanic. When I started work in 74 as a apprentice builder in North Yorkshire we had a Morris com tipper , was a bit clapped out and traded for a Thames Trader but always remember it .Can’t wait to see the finished truck .

Engine looks fabulous, especially the brass and copper work. Remember painting my old A series back in the day, using special high temperature paint on the manifold. Looked great, but the smoke and smell when it first got hot was something else! Looking forward to seeing the new harness made up👍.

I have been a passenger in an Austin like that when it was still in use back in 1961. I remember the straight cut transmission and no isolation from the engine noise meant you had to shout to be heard. It was geared so low that you were in 4th at 25 MPH and it "cruised" at 30. I was still at school and working Saturdays to pay for my motor cycle.
