This brought back great memories 3+ decades ago (1989-1996) when I worked at corner of Goldsmith Lane & Newburg Rd. I would frequent this place at least once a week I kids you not always on Fri. I remember Karem's mewts being there too (a butcher & catering service). I had totally forgotten about the infamous Pimento salad and it's great all by itself period. Thanks for reminding me and since I'm rested in retirement, I'm gonna have to start frequenting that place again to remind me of my old working days. Thanks for sparking the fire into my memory bank and showing what I have been missing since 1996. I feel a Fri pay day visit coming soon (I get paid every month on 1st day) I see me ordering a weeks worth of sandwiches and spreads whatever novelty items that will be to my likings. LOVE Morris’! My go-to is what I call a Country Italian Sub: salami, pepperoni, and country ham with banana peppers and some Düsseldorf mustard on hoagie bun. My aunt loves the French Dip sandwich. Love the beer cave. Also, try Benedictine spread on your BLT if you haven’t already.
