{Complete Film}. The solo career of Stephen Patrick Morrissey has, to date, lasted five times as long as that of his former band The Smiths. So while, as with the majority of artists, his most memorable and significant work was created during his first few years in the business, his numerous solo records, issued across three decades, prove that Morrissey was the main creative force in The Smiths, Johnny Marr not having released anything memorable since the split, and the other two not having released anything at all except as session musicians. This film documents Morrissey s solo years and tells the story of this period of his life in vivid detail. Featuring rare footage of Mozzer in performance and in interview, contributions from those who have known him best (including Tom Wilson, Stuart Maconie and numerous others), seldom seen photos, location shoots, news clips and a host of other features. Extras include digital Morrissey discography and Morrissey online quiz.

Our village country pub used to have a jukebox. It was filled with old tunes from the 50s and 60s like “ The Crystal Chandeliers “ and the most modern music was Status Quo or Mungo Jerry but somehow “ Girlfriend in a Coma “ was added to the machine One night I walked into The Three Bells - full of crusty old retired Farmers with their Jack Russells & Collies - to suddenly hear the sound of Morrissey crooning loudly above them all ! It was one of the most bizarre musical moments of my life 😁

I love The Smiths and Morrissey's solo work equally. It really is a shame that so many Smiths fans won't even give Morrissey's solo work a chance even after all these years.

morrisey is one of those artists where his ego is absolutely massive, but when criticised for that fact, he subsequently proves why his ego is so massive

Only men can talk about Morrissey apparently.

Most of It's not even new that's the saddest part, Morrissey has been solo for 25 years, his solo work is amazing. But many Smiths fans are stuck in 1987 and won't give any of his solo work a chance.

Morrissey really is a fantastic lyricist and singer. He deserves far more attention that he gets.

Viva Hate and Bona Drag* are both masterpieces. Fantastic pop albums with some of the best lyrics Moz has ever written and some of the most risky and adventurous music...

Moz solo is top notch. “Speedway” is by far my favorite song of his. Just as good as the best smiths songs.

I like how Morrissey never ever appears in any documentary about him.

Johnny Marr is undoubtedly a great guitar player, but as a personal opinion, in music it's the lyrics that runs, and upon that point of view, Morrissey is a gifted. He is really someone out of the ordinary. He's a tremendous song writer. God bless him for what he's already gave us.

Morrissey's autobiography 1 through 14 is incredibly enjoyable.. The references to the lyrics written in his autobiography are wonderful and I can connect w in the book. Its poetic, witty and elegantly written. I don't love Morrissey anymore, I adore him. He does have a Latin heart.
