O concerto ocorreu no histórico Hollywood Bowl em Los Angeles, Califórnia, em 8 de junho de 2007, na primeira etapa da turnê de Morrissey 2007/2008 'Greatest Hits'.
Artista: The Smiths
Álbum: The Queen Is Dead
Data de lançamento: 1986
Letra:
Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
Who are young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one anymore
Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see lights
Driving in your car
Oh please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home
It's their home
And I'm welcome no more
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure and the privilege is mine
Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere
I don't care, I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass, I thought
"Oh, God, my chance has come at last"
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn't ask
Take me out tonight
Oh take me anywhere
I don't care, I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, no no no
Oh, I haven't got one
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure and the privilege is mine
Oh, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out

This is my favorite version of this song, live or studio. Everything is prefect, his voice, the crowd, the energy, the band, and when he rips his shirt off and tosses it into the crowd.. I've seen him in concert twice, and was so disappointed he didn't do this song.. However, I got laid after one of those shows, New Years Eve, with a girl I met outside the venue. One of the best nights of my life!!

Thanks to the guy I met one time in Portland Oregon 30 years ago when I was at a really low point in my life (so was he) we hung out for hours driving around and went to a few places. When this song came on we got quiet and I have to admit if a ten ton truck had killed the both of us I think we would have been fine with it. I have often wondered if we might have saved each other that night

Oh "people" - meaning everyone but you, misunderstand it. Of course. But you have a unique, keen insight are able to use your visionary wisdom to fully grasp this otherwise hidden meaning. Uh, yeah. Keep telling yourself that.
@seanpanigel5494
@seanpanigel5494 Жыл бұрын
@@Robaatosensei fuck you man. The hell is your problem. Would it have changed your mind that much, if I just added "a lot of people"? You made all of that insult just based on the fact that I wrote "people"? I see so many interpretations of this song, and so many people in comment sections, movie scenes, actually saying "this is a very romantic love song". So I just came to give my interpretation. I wasn't even douchie about it. You act like you're this mature non pretentious guy, but you're just a wannabe teenager who probably bases his music opinions from rate your music, and lies to himself that he's not a pretentious music listener because you probably hate yourself too much to acknowledge it, so you dig up in your lies like you're this eclectic taste guy that is actually a mature but non pretentious music fan, but the hidden truth is, is that you're actually pretentious as fuck.

To Annie M supports a Nazi extreme right wing racist political party M is the child of economic immigrants yet he despises immigrants in England M emigrated to Trumpland -THE land of immigrants-stolen by the white man from the Red Indians Even Johnny Marr has disassociated himself from M M is a hypocrite M can be a racist if he wants but we should be clear that he IS regarded as a racist by many You are giving the amazingly great people of Glasgow a bad name On a lighter note - M walks into an Indian restaurant-the waiter says to him ‘sorry sir we don’t serve racists’ M replies-‘I have not come here to eat a racist -I am vegetarian. Big mouth has plenty to say but when fairly criticised he whinges big time Your deluded by his obvious great musical talents He just like you and me with a special talent.
