It depends on his audience. Not everyone understands patios. I speak patios at the job. And I always have to explain myself after I said something. We Jamaican things understand patios and that’s not true.

Clear and concise recipe. The authenticity of his native tongue makes me trust his recipes more... I am not Jamaican but I know Jamaican cuisine is made from the heart and it's not a rushed process. The amount of Mickey Mouses out there trying it with their Ja-fakin' recipes... The patois wasn't overly used that someone can't understand the recipe... However, if the new recipe edit shines the spotlight on his channel, then more power to him!

Well done on the recipe! Thank you👋🏾 So I tweeked mine a bit. I realized I needed a bit more water to reach your consistency. I also added 1/4 teaspoon more baking powder. And if the oil doesn't cover the dumplins, just be sure to flip them every 2-3minutes until golden brown. Hope this heped someone. Thanks again chef. Wonderful.👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 I'm going to attempt uploading a pic.

Thank you for the ingredient list. My parents are from Jamaica and when my mom makes fried dumplings with cabbage and saltfish she doesn't measure. She does it all by sight and touch and expects me to learn the same way. No can do. I like to use measurements because I wanna get it right the first time. I can't wait to make my own. My kids love em, my daughter in law loves em so I'm off to try and make some.

Hey, just used your recipe! Dumplings came out damn good🤤 my mom usually makes dumplings and callaloo but mi could never ask her for any exact measurement 🤣 she eyeballs her ingredients. Though she uses lasco in hers or sometimes some kind of milk. Thanks much!!! New subscriber!!! ❤️
