For anyone doing this in the future, put the bushings in the freezer the night before. They will shrink/contract and will slide right in then expand as they warm up.

Did you feel any difference when towing?

I like the extra height I got out of the MORryde I'm doing a lot of dry camping. I didn't put the grease fitting on the inside which most services center recommend so you don't get road debris all over the zerk fittings. I put vacuum caps on the ends of them to keep it clean. I'm 61 years old and didn't want to be climbing underneath the trailer to service it. My pad is made up of gravel so doing this job was fun.... lol

I should put caps on mine also. Thanks for watching!

The only thing that gets greased is the wet bolt that holds the equalizer in the hangar bracket. They do not come pre-greased. You have to buy the wet bolt kit separately. I would not install the equalizer without also installing the wet bolt kit.

nice video thanks, how much lift did you get if any?

I did not take a measurement; I did not notice a difference.

Is there a grease fitting in the center of the CRE3000 equalizer? If so, does it come greased already?
@Weak_juan3 жыл бұрын
No grease there and it is not needed. Its just a piece of rubber to help dampen then movement and vibration.

I am attempting to do this now and I'm having a heck of a time getting the leaf spring back into the hanger. Any tips?
@FLWeekendWarriors2 жыл бұрын
I moved the floor jack to help push the spring towards the direction I needed and used a long pry bar on the axle bolts. I needed a second person to put the bolt in the hole as I pulled.
@twn4122 жыл бұрын
@@FLWeekendWarriors were you jacking it up underneath the drum or on the axle?
@FLWeekendWarriors2 жыл бұрын
Under the axle. I tried a large breaker bar on the u-bolt nuts, but it was loosening the nuts. Hope you got it to line up.

This upgrade is not easy when your hangers are welded unsquare! Everything being in a bind is not good! I now know why we’re seeing broken springs in trailers. I’m concerned this upgrade is going to be worse than stock. We’ll soon find out.

No not really, but I am sure it is a smoother ride for the rv on rough roads

I was on the GD Forum and GD FB page and asked about installing the Equalize and Wet and I got the impression why? I think it worth the upgrade. Have you seen improvement since installing them? What was the reason why you did your? You stated that at the rally they was going to do it. I am just curious why I got negative feedback when I investigating do it. Thanks!
@FLWeekendWarriors3 жыл бұрын
Not sure why people are negative. I tried to have it installed at a GD Rally and they were booked solid with people having it done. I tow with a F250 and honestly only saw a small improvement, but I barely know it’s back there. It could be a great improvement in the trailer, but you can’t tell in the truck. I just liked having the grease fittings on the bolts and would do it again. If you only tow small distances it may not be worth the trouble.

Real mechanics know not to tighten a bolt on the bolt head. Loosening a knurled shank bolt like you did with that impact just destroyed the frame spring hanger/equalizer hole.

Your real alright!

Ditto - Agreed...If you watch this video DON't do as shown. Agree completely with @johnmills837. If you do you may have to replace the WELDED Spring Hangers as well as the Equalizer as their respective bolt hole(s) have been elongated from the forced twisting of the knurled shank HEAD bolt.
