I see this video is only about a month old. That’s about how long ago I found this exact model at a garage sale for $25, with all the attachments. Still waiting to get her placed on my workstation so I can get in there and see what she needs. She looks pretty clean and probably just needs a good cleaning. I can’t wait. Would you do a little tutorial about the coordination of the setting lever you set to "M" to straight stitch and the fan shaped settings that you said was stuck. The fan shaped control section at the lower left of the machine is labeled to control zig zag and blind stitch. It also has two smaller silver leavers that are a mystery. I suspect they work in conjunction with the large lever you set to "M" for straight stitch. Thank you again for your video. Candace

I just got a morse 716 from a neighbor whose grandmother passed. Besides a little dust, it ran and sewed beautifully. I cleaned it up and hadn’t yet oiled it, just then someone asked about the pressure foot control button on top. I confidently, turned the outer ring (collar?) and the inner rod popped right up, releasing ALL PRESSURE and leaving the presser lever hanging limply. Unfortunately, When I press the rod back down for normal pressure, it won’t stay down, the outer ring (collar) doesn’t turn at all. I feel like it is something simple I am missing.

Check to see if all the spring are attached. Sounds to it need oiled. Thank you for watching.

No, they are universal needles bobbins are size 15 like Kenmore.

Yes, but I went inside added a drop off oil in the area of stuff is post to move. Then I let sit for 24 hours. Then it started working again at a low pace. Now, it's moving really good now.

Hi I got my sewing this model for a little over $40.00 Canadian.I cannot get the zigzag working, would like to know how. The blind stitch works great and the straight stich. I hope you can help me futher. You seem to have explained it on the video. Did you get yours to work the zig zag? It seems to be problem the zigzag or we don't know how to work it.

Yes, it's in an area you need to oil it. Then let it sit for for 24 hours and it started working again.
