Shang Tsung might be the funniest option, because there is one scene where Shang Tsung is urging Shang Tsung to climb up the pyramid to reach Shang Tsung. Unfortunately, Shang Tsung kills Shang Tsung, and in the end, Shang Tsung must defeat Shang Tsung so that Liu Kang can finally erase Shang Tsung from existence.

I love the old tho, he’s the smartest of his species so he’s responsible for trying to preserve them, not the diseased, but making Tarkatans a victim of a mutant disease is an interesting take. Honestly the big winners for this timeline that Liu Kang did good with was Reptile, Baraka, and Mileena. After jobbing for the last 3 games, they got good stories and roles. Mileena in particularly getting what she always wanted but in the best way that would allow her to flourish with love and support of her positive role model family. In return, she also shows compassion and great leadership to her people.

It's interesting to see how Bi Han's voice has a slight change in tone, he doesn't speak so aggressively and loudly as his evil counterpart does. His face expressions are also different, he's more serene and composed

Yep this Bi Han talks softer but his voice still comes off as chilled and rigid which shows he can still be aggressive when he has to but shows clear respect for Liu Kang. That’s the Bi Han that should’ve stayed in the story mode not the power hungry wannabe Vegeta we have now

Now regarding his personality on the story mode, I believe they did this to bring back the rivalry between scorpion and sub because, while also showing more of the relationship between bi han and Kauai Liang, that was missing in previous games. By making him evil they are setting up the shirai Ryu / Lin Kuei rivalry. I also believe they did this to later kill him off and bring him back as Noob Saibot. They know Noob Saibot is loved by the fans, i'm definitely sure they are going to kill him off in the story expansion.

Sub-Zero's ending in the Tower mode tells us he's investing in the Lin Kuei Cyborg Initiative, so I can kinda see Noob being actually a full-on robot or one of the new cyborgs along with Sektor and Cyrax, leaving Bi-Han as Sub-Zero.

Taking in mind Raiden's tower ending, and what the characters are wearing, you could tell which are from Liu Kang's timeline: -Johnny Cage (wearing his battlesuit from the mission in outworld) -Kenshi -Kitana -Tanya -Mileena -Raiden -Kung Lao -Scorpion -Smoke -Reptile -Ashrah -Geras -Shang Tsung (remember he had to help fixing what he has done after being fooled) -Li Mei -Baraka The rest are other timelines version (and not all of the enemies and allies fighting around are titan level characters, mostly all realms champions).

Well I mean it’s like Raiden says to him in mythologies when Bi-Han asks if Quan Chi was telling the truth about him belonging in the netherrealm. ‘Yes. But only you can change it’. I mean he doesn’t try and keep the amulet or do any form of power play there, plus he attempts to save and redeem Sareena. Honestly I was with Kitana when she said ‘Is there any timeline where Tanya isn’t evil’ and liked how Mileena and Tanya were both good in this one.

I like to think this Shao Kahn we see has been warned as has knowledge about The One Being (maybe by the hourglass?), thus stopped being the conqueror he was supposed to be. He is still probably a jerk, but not a danger to all realms and realities because he hella won't give up what he already has.

I imagine good Shao would see all the realms as already conquered by him. He doesn't want to rule them, instead content to just call them his Realms. Firm but fair, he leads all the realms by example: that anyone who threatens them would be utterly crushed.

@@epiccarrot88 That's the thing, I was thinking that a "good" Shao could very likely rule similarly to a noble Ottoman sultan. Still technically an authoritarian power, but hardly a monster and may even prove to make things better for the rest of the realms, including Earthrealm. Basically lawful neutral, and with Shao, maybe that's the best we can get. Better than other iterations of Shao Kahn. 😆

You can definitely see people like Havik are still locked before you beat the story, then are unlocked on replay. Not to mention the extension bar slot for the DLC is there. So yeah, if Homelander can be played for this finale, it'll be funny to have Liu Kang go, "May we meet again someday, Homelander!" There is no way you wanna meet Homelander again. Lol

Liu Kang always intended for MK1 Shang Tsung to have a better upbringing under Sindel. Until MK 9-11's Titan Shang Tsung got ahold of him. kinda brings it full circle in the end for This Shang Tsung to come to team up with Liu kang and save the timeline

My choice was Shao. I couldn't miss the irony that out of all the MK characters, Shao Kahn might be the one to save the entire multiverse😂. I like to see Rain's story ending with Liu Kang to be canon because he is achieving redemption, I will not have any other villains with Liu Kang, their actions are too unforgivable and they will pretend to be good and backstab him, so Rain is the only one who wouldn't betray Liu Kang.
