This is very good. I really appreciate this. But now since the Mortal Kombat story technically is starting back over, I need to know why Lui Kang is a god and its not Raiden.

Liu Kang turn into a god at the end of MK11 and defeat Kronika then he used her Hourglass to reset the the timeline. Instead of making Raiden a god, Liu Kang chose to have him reborn as a mortal in order to keep him from repeating history. The past timeline's version of Raiden may have been a more powerful being, but he also had a strong temper that didn't mix well with his godly status.

@@AphrOz Ok that makes sense. I thought MK1 was supposed to be the story from the beginning and not a continuation of the current from MK11
