That's because it's so necessary to the game health. Nobody likes playing against a cheap damage comp cause as a defender you HAVE to flawless block while the attacker just have to keep his combos going on block (the worst is that it is often safe on block)

People can’t be happy about anything. 1st everyone was bitching about cameos being too diverse in skill sets… NR evened them out some and everyone cried about that.. now they are making cameos diverse again as they should be and they crying again lol. A cameo should have unique ability that sets them apart from every other. They’re suppose to have something no other cameo can do!

But they evened out kameos in a "bad way" by nerfing strong ones instead of buffing weak ones. People wanted a new UNIVERSAL defensive option and they added it to ONE character. People have valid reasons to be mad. Kameos dont need to have a unique move to be unique. So long as they have a unique KIT, they're fine. Most kameos share types of moves. Kung Lao and Motaro have teleports and lows but they differ elsewhere.

​@@SpecialOrder935 It isnt. If kameos only had one assist then yes, a unique move would be considered the kit. In this case, kameos have multiple assists but the more unique parts of their kits are encouraged enough. A lot of this is due to cooldowns being too long. It's an assist game, the cooldowns here are the longest I've ever played in a team fighter. Khameleon and Janet are how assists should feel. Everyone else is stuck in phase 1 still. I want most kameos to get 1 or 2 more changes or just straight up new moves so they can express their gimmick more.

This video on Movado reminds me of a video True Under Dawg once did where he explained how Sheeva in Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath used to be overpowered unfairly with her stomping attack. And this video reminds me of some person I once heard suggest that Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11 was unfair being able to crawl safely towards opponents when he was the only one who could do that. One bar full circle. Make it non killing but damaging. So if opponent is low it won't kill them but will push them back. Ground hit is fine. Yes all Kameo characters are stronger than previous.

I might replace Scorpian Cameo for Subzero, but I don't imagine I will do so for Ermac. My big combo with Ermac does 46% and requires 2 cameo calls. For subzero, I only call in Scorpion one time, and who knows, it might make the damage scale less.

Mavado is the definition of “pay to win” until they give the other Kameos the same treatment. The only problem I have with this opinion is that yes we need more defensive options in the game, but they don’t need to be 1 bar of meter they all need to be 2 or 3. If they made combo breakers 1 bar or if they added kameo breakers those need to be more than 1 bar too. If they made breakers 1 bar then the game would suck. Everyone would pick characters with zoning and sit across the screen. No point to do combos or even try if someone is gonna break your combo every 2 seconds 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ditch the damage on the block counter, that's not the point of it. If it's attached to Flawless Block then it should be one bar and either half the kameo, or possibly just access to the kameo. It's almost like they don't want players to actually use the mechanics they've put in the game. I don't understand their design philosophy.

Not really because you trade a bit for it. Two bars and half cameo meter is steep and it doesn’t give you advantage it just resets the neutral and if you are facing an aggressive player or a zoner congrats you doomed yourself. Because sometimes the best option is just to flawless block and wait for it to be punishable obv depending on matchup

It's amazing how MK1 is full of broken ideas, and it will be again and again with every single new Kameo. I miss MK11 where If you got hit you had more options to break the enemy combo, now, you get hit you have only 1 expensive option to break your enemy combo and If you don't, you probably eat something like 40% damage or more. It's like, in MK11 you could make a mistake and the fight can still go on, and in MK1 one mistake will probably make you lose the match right there or make it really hard to have any come back because more than half of your life bar is gone.
