I can understand the frustration from gamers about not getting the products that we pay for. But at the same time, we have to responsible and stop buying these half ass products, at least stop pre-ordering at the minimum. While the developers may care about our feedback, the ones at the top are calling the shots. And when they see that we are still willing to spend our money on inferior products, it just encourages them to continue with these bad practices. The industry has unintentionally opened Pandora’s box with the recent jump from $60 to $70+ and disgusting price increases for online subscriptions. I think people are tired and are about to push back. All games are not created equal and absolutely should not be priced this way, especially considering most games are broken to some degree at launch. I think people are becoming more aware of where their money is going and if they’re getting value for that money rather than frustration. All this industry needs to get back on track is a single successful lawsuit which will lay the foundation for more lawsuits, then things will change for the better.

"Gamers" as a group enabled this form of sales pitch by publishers when they didn't stop buying half baked live service products a half decade or so ago. FOMO, Marketing Hype, and Pre-order bonus' combined together to sell half baked unfinished products pushed to insane time lines by marketing teams and accountants to maximize profits at the expense of development cycle and time. And when good leaders push back - they get pushed out, leading to a worse team, with worse capability to manage the project well leading to more of this crap. If Gamers as a group want to stop this in it's track we need to: * Stop buying live service games, that don't prove to be a complete experience from the start * Stop pre-ordering, until there is clear evidence of good value from the game (See BG3 and the sheer value people got out of early access that in some cases exceeds full release titles). * Stop paying for over priced cosmetics from companies that aren't actively supporting the game in other ways - such as free map packs, improved mechanics, and more. * Demand refunds on games released in a broken state - and demand updates on steams (and other stores) return policy to accommodate this. * Demand regulatory change in regards to what is permissible in advertising. In other words: We as a SOCIETY need to change how we view marketing, and companies that lie. We need to do away with brand identity as apart of how we identify ourselves (which you may not, I avoid, but plenty of people do without even realizing it) - for if we do not, we are never ever going to have this issue go away. In many ways, it's time for a round of IP and Dev's along with relevant publishers to go out of business and make room for new ones that respect the players time and money.

The biggest problem is that everyone wishes it to buy the game without waiting for any reviews. We no longer live in the days where developers had to release an amazing product, because more they can throw any pile of dogshit out there, knowing that people are going to buy it en masse regardless. The switch port is in such a weird stated. The decision is very difficult. On one hand, it’s very obvious that you should have the game be on switch since it is a massively successful console and Nintendo is a gaming giant. But at the same time, the switch is not powerful enough to run a game like MK1 on it. It leaves the question, do I make the port knowing that the console won’t be strong enough for my game just for the extra cash or do I refuse to make the port because I know that the game will never fit on the console.

Its quite funny that people are mad that a game made for next gen hardware is performing poorly on a device that came out last gen along with PS4 and Xbox One... smh I understand the gaming industry is rigged these days with how they put out games on day one and still make money off of it, but not all games are meant for older consoles. Take cyberpunk 2077 for example. It was working perfectly fine day one on my 3080 at the time and i even played a port on a friends xbox series x and ps5 and it was fine. I didnt expect it to play well on xbox one seeing that most of the work was meant for NEXT GEN! Not for it to work on older gen and to just run better on next gen. When MGS V GZ and GTA V came out it was made for the previous gen PS3 and Xbox 360. Then it came out again for xbone and ps4 updated with graphics and then again for PC and i believe again for series x amd ps5 (didnt play ps5 or series x versions). Point is it came out on previous gen first which made it easier to port to next gen not the other way around. I mean seriously think about it. When same games came out for ps2 and ps3 for example the ps2 game was A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME and for a reason! The hardware couldnt handle what the ps3 had going on.

I know why it's the same price. It's because the people in control of ALL of the gaming consoles are the same. They are making their money from both hands. Look into the largest shareholders of Nintendo. Blackrock is there, under Titan Asset Management. You'll find that Blackrock and Vanguard own just about EVERYTHING people need or want. yeah, thats also one of the problem. but the one charge the price is the dev of the game itself. netherrealm can just lower the price for compensation for missing feature and lower graphic in switch. but they decide to stay with 70$ even tho they know the quaility in switch is worse compared to PS/PC version.

Why should the dev have to lower the price for the work they did when they still did all of the work on the game simply because Nintendo hardware dosent work as it should. Not to mention Nintendo would likely have a problem with them lowering the price on the game because that cuts into the portion of profit Nintendo also stands to make while also making their platform look inferior which is not something Nintendo wants or would allow. They want everyone to feel the switch is still a good system. The message of having to discount a game because it couldn't be handled by the system in its pure form says just that to the consumer. And Nintendo knows that so its likely they would tell nrs that they can't lower the price. It's all about image for Nintendo. Hence the I'm sorry bow for joy con drift.

At the end of the day this game has no problems on any other hardware so it does become hard to blame the dev and not the hardware when this hardware is the only one with these problems. Logic

Also it's funny we would rather yell at a Dev for not making a next generation game work in dated hardware instead of yelling at the company that keeps releasing horrible and dated hardware even though they burned us with a whole generation with the wii u. MK 11 (and Injustice 2) made me a little weary of NetherRealm Studios so this will be the first time in a long time that I won't be getting one of their games on release. I don't know if I'm even going to bother with MK1 and if I do, it'll be the inevitable "Ultimate" edition and hopefully used if I can manage it.

TPCi also removed the core features from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The overworld effects from Abilities are scrapped. Now Abilities like Synchro, Static, Meromero Body, and others will not help you encounter different wild Pokémon. Variety is gone.
