I feel like so many people are just missing the two main points: 1. Jerrod is NOT Ermac, he and Ermac themselves even state that their body is made up of thousands of different souls trapped within, Jerrod just was able to take control so he's the host of the body that is Ermac, not Ermac at all themselves 2. We've known Jerrod was one of the many souls within Ermac since MK9's Ermac ending and I think even MKX stated it

Sindel was always meant to be a tragic character. Force-wed into an invasion of her realm, turning evil at the tips of dark sorcerers. She loved Jared and Kitana immensely and was just taken astray by dark magic. I'm so, so glad the timelines were all intertwined her and Jerrod could meet once again. Without MK11 Aftermath, we couldn't have been here. Liu Kang helped fixed Sindel. lmaoooo
