I have to be honest that I am not the biggest fan of the DESIGN of the defense/offense bar. Something I liked about mKX was that it was very seamless and immersive and this looks more of a picture frame and it’s a little distracting like when someone puts the fake health bars in a tailer kind of thing. I am a big believer in making the health bars etc as unobtrusive as possible. One thing that completely turned me off from Tekken 7 is how fuggin BUSY the hub is during a match. Everything is so flashy and in your face, it’s annoying ah. With that being said, I appreciate how minimalist the health bars are here with MK11. I wish fighting games gave us more options to customize our hub.

The fatal blow is a terrible idea...……… all those matches you've seen when it comes down to the wire and rock solid defence is making both players go for that chip damage and it becomes a battle of fatigue and everyone is off there seats is now going to be a fatal blow mash. My guess is when playing ranked in MKX and Injustice 2 you saved your super and x-ray to try and finish your opponent. On top of that you had to think when to use breakers and move enhancers since it would take out of that meter. Since x-ray is no longer attached to the same meters for defensive and offensive moves it makes sense to only have players use supers when they typically would. X-rays can be performed cinematically now at any point though or tied to certain moves I think

Holy crap,those "once-per-game" mechanics sound crazy! But I am pretty worried about it being too zoning heavy,especially since you can customize your own variations;That makes me think there might be characters that can zone with the right special moves even though they're normally not zoners.And if almost EVERYONE can play like that...Yeah,that'd be rough...

I don't understand what the purpose of removing the x Ray feature was. I was expecting the supers to be like injustice but they are just the same as x rays without the actual x ray. Same with the zoom in during the actual fight. They just zoom in instead of showing the bones shattering and what not. I'm kinda disappointed with that...
