While I agree the game isn't as fully developed like MK11 or MKX you have to give them props for trying something new even if it's unfavorable. You can't say they lost passion when they gave us kameos to try out and have fun with to freshen the MK experience. Its less dark and gritty which to each there own but hopefully next game it is more dark moments cause everyone just lives with no repercussions. Just don't bring back dvorah. Make Onaga big bad again and take away all the timeline garbage lol that's where it got lazy.

Do you truly feel like kameos prove that passion has been put into mortal kombat 1 as a whole product? Not even in gameplay but all aspects. Listen like I say this is as a fan.. but there is no reason to not want more from MK as 1. A finished product and 2. An up to date/ innovative product (no online on launch, several bug issues, etc). Im hoping for this to serve as a point of discussion so that moving forward the next MK release can be more enjoyable for everyone!

Also I definetly agree we need more consequential plotpoints! Resetting the timeline makes everything lose its weight in the story and characters are brought back with retcons like 2-3 times between a few games (sindel).

@IbouJavu4u i mean bug issues are a common thing in all video games let's be real. Even the best games ever made started with some bugs. That being said online connectivity is atrocious. I play street fighter and tekken and just hosting a lobby with friends is shorter then the 10 minute wait to start a KotH lobby in MK1. It is ridiculous. They added towers of time which should've been there day one. I have plenty of complaints myself and don't get me started on the DLC Story lmfao 🤣 that being said there are some good things like animalities, all the brutalities added and are pretty simple to do. Its a nice change of pace. Yeah I'd love to play as Stryker again but I appreciate him being here as a kameo that can support the gameplay of MK1. Some kameos really die down the experience like kahmeleon or sareena spam projectile but thats consequences for trying new things. Going forward I do hope the kameo system is gone. They improve system matchmaking and have actual lobbies for KotH matches, rework invasions or get rid of it for something like the Tower in MK9 but have it seasonal. Add some more old faces like Blaze would be cool. These are just suggestive as you said moving forward as a fan we deserve better. The passion is there its just misplaced by corporate greed via skins which they have been trying to make up for with a bunch of free skin pallets but it's not enough and they know that. Fans are tired of it.

@@mythiccmouse6214 I think the issue is that Mortal Kombat 1 was just lacking in too many areas and its following this pattern of transforming its product way too much in between games. If Mortal Kombat 1 (on launch) had most of these features that are being added (like you said animalities, brutalities… but also just a fighting system that was an extension of the one implemented in 9, X) I think engagement with Mortal Kombat 1 would be much higher. I think that that is part of why Mkx and 9 did so great… they were games with solid foundations (even with bad net code like in X) tools + modes for casual players, but also a crazy fun fighting system. Expanding upon that with X with the running system, more fleshed out mechanics, furthering character arcs, and bringing new characters in the series with gameplays that all felt unique was amazing to experience. One thing I do know is that NetherRealm is tryed out a new engine for this game so maybe that explain certain issues like p2 bug etc??? But I think that its just a case of needing to go back to the drawing board and listening to feedback to create a new product that carries the Mortal Kombat legacy forward as a whole. It sucks but it’s like these microtransactions and lack in quality of product go hand in hand… idk maybe im losing it lol

They should make Kameos Optional. And give us more characters for MK1 The roster is goofy Give us better customization options for MK1 like MK11 MKX is a charming game and MK11 is amazing, MK1 falls short

I agree. I hate that because some of the kombos in MK1 are sick as hell and fun to watch. Just overall there is too much that is lacking for Mortal Kombat 1 and that is killing its life cycle and impact as a modern fighting game. I hope MK2 is better fr. I still cant wait to play my boy noob tho lol

kameos are the game in air kombos are so fun to do and the fighting in mk11 is stale don’t lie mk1 would be the same if they were optional

i just think yall don’t like change which is understandable mkx mk11 childhood classics and all that but if you really go back and play mk1 is 10 fold better than 11 and mkX is probably still better but that’s because it just plays differently kameos allow for unlimited mix up allows every character to fight in whatever type of way i think yall will look back and appreciate mk1

@@benjitube1979 I dont think its about not liking change and trust me I agree MK1 is way more fun than MK11 but its a problem with the game(s) as a total package. Even MK9 had more accesible skins, a krypt, tag team, ladders, and modes like test your might/ modified kombat etc upon release. I love air kombat and some kombos with kameos in MK1 but my immersion in those mechanics is broken by how much is lacking. Story is a whole nother beast. Ill put it like this. In MKX hanzo kills QUAN CHI his main rival/ manipulator and makes ammends with kuai liang and the lin kuei. Where has the plotline lead to in Mk1? Just like most of the other characters’ arcs it literally does not matter. Things established in MKX/ 9 are just completely trashed or not expanded upon. Who was enenra? Does Takeda ever seek vengance against the red dragon? Nope heresy kitana with a mohawk though! There’s a lot of gripes that I have as a fan personally but I wont knock anyone still enjoying the game, its all for the love ✊🏾 but MK in the state its in is ridiculous
