I saw this in the theater the first night it came out, I was about....11 so MK3 hadn't come out yet, but the series was still out jam! and when Reptile transformed, then dropkicked the shit outta Liu Kang, we lost our shit! I never seen a theater get so lit up! That is until Liu Kang snapped, and did the Bicylcle Kick. ME and my boys literally stood up and screamed "HOLY SHIT!!!!!" I saw Street Fighter as well and that was damn disappointing. Even though this movie was PG-13, we still got the benefit of fan service. They at least threw in the stuff we as fans would wanna see, Scorpion' spear, Sub Zero's Ice ball, the Pit fatality in the last fight scene. The only time I had more fun in the theater, was seeing the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie!!

The story is really solid, the fights are well-done, the music creates perfect atmosphere, and overall it seems absolutely committed to being THE MK film. 2: This is the best fight in the whole thing, not just for its badass music and thoroughly satisfying choreography, but because of how neat it is. It starts with a kick in the chest, and it ends with a kick in the chest, in and out through the same door. Plus it's wonderful payoff for the build-up we get with Reptile throughout the rest of the movie.

I saw him win "Best of Tournament" at the Ed Parker Martial Arts Tournament" in Long Beach once with his flawless "Drunken Style" Kung-Fu form. Holy-cow this guy was off-the-scale amazing in person! I loved the way this fight went. At no point did it look choreographed. The other two fights with the ninjas looked quite choreographed, but the way Reptile is moving back and forward anticipating Lui Kangs punches and kicks when they are on the stage looking area, looked very real and almost improvisational. Love it

This was easily the best fight scene in the movie, Scorpion vs Cage would be a close second. It's crazy how much respect they gave Reptile in this movie. They made him a bad ass. The way they coordinated this was well done, from the fact that they decided to add that epic voice narrator say "Reptile" just like when you pick the character in the game, and that kick that sent Liu Kang though that wall, and that music....it was perfect. I'm a huge Reptile fan, he's my favorite ninja alongside Noob Saibot. Sub Zero is a way more popular character and he was beaten way too easily.

Liu could have explained it as "Mortal Kombat is single combat. If you had taken part, we would have been disqualified." Johnny just nods accepting the wisdom, and they walk away. Behind them you see several Outlander mook bodies on the ground (implying Johnny was dealing with the small stuff while Liu dealt with Reptile).

I remember in the Movie Theatre when this fight scene started with that dark voice barked Reptile's name as he rose from the ground, the audience was getting hype like a fight was about to begin in the cafeteria in high school. The applause followed when Reptile flip kicks Liu Kang in the chest sending him into the brick wall. But the real applause filled the room when Liu Kang's bicycle kick was performed. People were laughing and clappin' at the same time. I'll never forget it.
