Coincidentally, the Mortal Kombat theme song from the movie came from a commercial about the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo versions of the game. It was the one with a bunch of kids running around in the street shouting out _MORTAL KOMBAT,_ and one of those voices is the one that's in the song. The announcer saying the character's names and _TEST YOUR MIGHT,_ were ripped straight from the Arcade game.

Does Liu Kang's fatality in MK1 confuse anybody else? They could've done better with it. I realize in the first game, he wasn't the main character, it was more about Johnny Cage, but still, couldn't Liu Kang's fatality have been something other than either a few confusing kickflips or a really high uppercut?

No matter which direction Kano faces, there's his laser eye. That's why growing up I thought he had TWO robot eyes until I noticed later on that his character select picture only had one. Then eventually he got laser powers for the eye and that was just the SHIT. I wish they had thought of that in time for the 1995 movie when movie Kano still had the plate. It seems like such an obvious idea to not be there since game 1.
