I have a huge appreciation for morticians because I lost my mother recently. The mortician that took care of her was above and beyond anything I’d ever imagine. He really cared and made sure everything was exactly as I asked for. I did request him to allow me to do my mother’s makeup and he let me go into the mortuary and do it. It was heavy. It’s something that I will carry with me forever.

Being a funeral director and the staff, is one of those jobs that you must have extreme compassion. You're working with people during their lowest, saddest, vulnerablest time. Most people like me had no idea but I was fortunate to have a great director and his staff to support, help and guide me during my father's funeral. They show so much compassion and empathy. Its not an easy job or not a job a lot of people go for so thank you to all funeral directors.

So on my granddads funeral,I accidentally stumbled on a mortician doing their job... I know, chilling. I didn't have the strength to go for viewing at first so I was among the last once to do so. Entered the wrong door. And you know what, I would say that I am glad I did. Changed my perspective on death. So the bodies were being washed but with such tremendous care. Really eased me up just knowing there's someone taking care of you. The guy was obviously shocked, but I guess he saw that I was not scared just processing the moment. He was so chill and he actually assisted me himself rather than calling in a nurse to do so. He even gave me the greatest advice on death "it is sad but it is just life... It'll happen to everyone of us"

This guy is freaking hilarious. The sense of humor he has (though it looked like it cut a little close) is wonderful. And honestly thinking about it, I'm sure lots of people die without a bra (like heart attack in the shower or what not) so he's probably put on 100's if not more. So unless you're an alpha Chad (/s)... he's got us all beat

@@DirtyLillNeo I don't think it matters what you wore when you died... If you watched the whole thing, about all the fluids, cleaning etc, then surely they will put on clean clothes.
