I don't belive Ed Gein murder his father. He was suspected of killing his older brother and killing 2 women that resembled his mother, whom he had an unnatural infatuation with. Regardless, I enjoyed the story.
@mercury-king7 ай бұрын
@@oliviasanchez9575you are correct. eddie gein was suspected of killing his BROTHER & covering it up by setting fire to a portion of the family’s farming acreage, but was not remanded to state care for that. his father was an alcoholic who died of heart failure when he was 66. he was arrested for murdering two women that yes, resembled his mother, with whom he was beyond infatuated. he desecrated 9 corpses to make his human skin & bone paraphernalia, too!

Ed gein did not murder his dad. He died of natural causes. He is suspected of murdering his brother. He killed a local shop keeper and hung her in his barn and dismembered her like a dressed dear. He also dug up multiple graves of local women ( including his own mother)and made lamps, chairs, bowls etc out of them. He also was Mali’s body sit like in silence of the lambs- which is where they got the idea- I believed the story until they said that with patricide.

Unsure if it's been said, but I don't think Ed Gein killed his father. He was only ever tried of two murders and they were both women. 😅

Is story 14 about Ed Gein? If so his murder of his father, rather than his mother, is news to me. If it's the same Ed Gein, he was the inspiration for the famous Hitchcock horror movie Psycho, as well as Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and many others. Ed was a ghoul. He didn't dress up AS his mother, he dressed up IN his mother, and several other women as well. He'd robbed the local cemetery for years. Police found ghoulish trinkets all over his house when finally he killed again and got caught. He lived out his life in an asylum, and if this was his nurse telling the story, I'm surprised she didn't mention his fame.

Hey Mortis, great stuff as always. I'm curious though about these sounds I've been hearing in your recent videos. I hear them around 3:14, 10:17, 30:24, 32:02, 41:42, and just throughout the audio in this one. I have pretty sensitive listening so I don't blame you if you /anyone else can't hear it, but it's a tad distracting. Do you know what that might be?

I have so much anxiety from the time I walk in until I leave and I don't know why, to my knowledge nothing has ever happened to me that I can remember. I do love great Mort stories about them tho, so keep up the great stories. Great collab partner also...two great narrators together for great stories. RE: The Hospital Mort -- be afraid, be very afraid! They can't be healthy places, otherwise they wouldn't be full of sick people, now would they! Amongst the horrors of the hospital are the food -- good grief -- & sleep deprivation -- "Wake up, sir, we need to take you vitals -- again!" I think you should start behaving yourself health-wise Mort -- remember, the hospital is like the Hotel California -- you can check in any time you want, but you might end up leaving...in a box! A prescription from Dr. Warren, proud holder of a PHBS!

The Marion story is so crazy. I worked in a nursing home and I had a patient who was one of the first females in the navy she went missing showed back up a few years later and she wouldn’t speak much and would just pace the halls. I saw her so many times pass my office everyday. I worked there four years and spoke to her everyday the whole time she spoke to me once and ask for scissors so she could remove her bracelet and leave
