27:34 Story 8 Story 8 is freaking me out because I’ve been on this channel for YEARS looking for an experience like mine and i FINALLY FOUND IT!!! That overwhelming panic followed by a peace i dont understand!! It was like time itsself stopped. It was in 2014 during a storm that tore the roof off the school and several houses. It was horrible ! But that blue ball cane and stood by the window and it was MAD. i could feel it staring something down outside. I was so scared!! And then he looked at me and it just?? Stopped??? Like i was ok??? For some reason??? Then he told me to go to sleep and i did without protest or concern. It was like i couldn’t help but follow orders but i was ok with that. I’m so happy i found this. Its been so many years of searching and i found someone at long last.

Worst holiday memory? Well... many years ago, one or two days after Christmas, one of my dogs, a rotti-boxer mix, slipped on the ice coming up the stairs outside... she hit a corner badly, and it caused internal bleeding. She was panicked the whole way to the vet, and when they decided they needed to put her down, she kept panicking, kept going, she looked at us with wide eyes... it took double the dose it should have of euthanasia to get her to that eternal sleep... to this day, it's one of the worst memories to revisit. She kept fighting, til the very end. We were with her the whole time, but she was scared, so so scared right till the very end... it still breaks my heart. Rest in peace, Roxy... I'm sorry you didn't get the peaceful end you deserved...

Happy Xmas, Mort. Honestly, I'm having a pretty tough time this holiday in light of Xmas Eve, as I write this, being that of the day of my grandmother's transition back in 2017, and my grandfather's belated birthday of December 14th, who was the literal root and reason as to why I became the railroad conductor I am and love as a passion and career today. One of the stories featured in this segment actually reminded me very heavily of her and her cooking she would do on holidays like today, and especially New Year's with chitterlings from Lexington Market. Thank you indeed to whoever authored it and indeed my condolences for your loss in turn. I hope you and your family can equally gain the peace and closure you need as well to have a happy and safe rest of the season.
