Where is the scariest place you've been to? While i was living in philadelphia, i took a walk in my new neighborhood and i found Eastern State Penitentiary was just 2 blocks away from my apartment. I was absolutely stoked and totally took by surpise. I was a huge fan of this place and didn't have any idea I'd be moving so close to this beautiful historical gem. I got a part time job working at the penitentiary during their halloween haunted house they threw, and i remember after my shift and walking down those big, empty, pitch black corridors where the locker room was was so eerie yet so beautiful, i never really got bad vibes from the place. Except for this one closet we kept extra stuff in. It was close to the entrance of the penitentiary and i had to go in there to grab some pens or something, and something just told me not to go in there alone and to get out as soon as i could! But even more frightening than Eastern State was something we just discovered this past month or so. My boyfriend and i live in a motel and he is renovating one of the buildings here that currently is dilapidated. While he began renovating the second floor of this building, he tore down the back wall to discover a hidden room at the back of each unit that hasn't been accessable since probably the 60s or 70s. You can tell by the shag carpets and wood pannelling on the walls. These rooms had no doors except a little sliding glass door at the back wall and each balcony is enclosed with bars so no one can come in or out. He for some reason resealed these back rooms and being back there in the middle of the night was absolutely terrifying.

oh... 5:55 oh dear. So my Mom told us this story many years ago: When my older brother was still only a newborn, she swaddled him, laid him in the center of the bed, and walked to the bathroom, leaving the door cracked so she could hear if he fussed. A minute later she hears a loud thud like someone stomping and the baby starts crying. He was... on the floor. At the foot of the bed. Straight down, not as if he had rolled, but as if someone had picked him up, stomped on the floor, then set him down. ~2 years later, almost the same thing happened to me, except she found me at the side of the bed, although i was way too young to roll over, much less roll over enough times to fall off the bed. I'd never heard anyone else tell a similar story until now. 😳😳😳 Added context: we're Christian, but my Mom is not overly obsessed with demons or the paranormal. There's not a single person who would describe her as anything other that honest, modest, and definitely NOT a drama queen. She doesn't tell any other fantastical stories like this. The closest would be how she noticed that my father had epileptic seizures more often during full or new moons, or her remembering a weird dream or nightmare here or there. That's why i always remembered her telling us this story. 😶 I've asked her about it every few years and it never changes. Never has any new embellishments. Nothing.
