Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of the Hamas co-founder. Mosab was a Palestinian militant who fled to Israel in 1997, where he worked as an Israeli spy. Mosab was then considered to be one of Israel's most valuable intel sources on Hamas, and Mosab provided information which allowed Israel to stop dozens of Hamas suicide attacks and prevent the assassinations of many Israelis. Mosab’s efforts also contributed to the incarceration of his father.

I think people need to remember though that when a human is born into Islam he/she is a instant Muslim, this person grows up with the teachings and then becomes an adult and by this stage they are so brainwashed and or scared that it is extremely hard to leave it. Their whole life is based upon this belief system, everything they have even known is based on it. Can you imagine being told if you do not believe anymore you will lose all of your family and you will lose your children and oh and by the way, you may also lose your life. @@victoria11128 And my point is that thats not a fair comparison bc in the case of Judaism, the scripture does not equal the religion. Judaism isn't what's written in the Torah - it's the Torah PLUS the Oral Law (ie, the Talmud), and the Oral law tempers the unpalatable aspects of the written Torah. In other words, stoning adulterers is not part of Judaism at all. This is not the case with the other religion being discussed. All the unpalatable asepcts are still fully part of the religion (just not everybody practices it).

What you said may be true. I cannot claim that I know much about either Judaism or Islam. All I can say is that I've had several practicing Muslim friends and co-workers throughout my life and none of them tried to kill me. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we cannot put people in boxes based on their religion or based one what we think we know about their religion.

But put it this way: even if you go find the most fanatical fundamentalist ultra-orthodox Rabbi and ask him what should be done if someone commits adultery. His answer will be: "Well, the bible says he/she deserves stoning, but since we don't have a Sanhedrin today, this cannot be carried out, so it's between the sinner and god, we dont practice capital punishment anymore. End of story." Now compare that to what's done in Iran, Afghanistan, Gaza, etc.
