You do not turn when working overlay mosaic crochet in rows. You always work front side facing you, but the yarn at the end of the row and start again at the vety first stitch

thank you. For this pattern you need to start with multiples of 48 +3. It can be 2 pattern repeats for a very small baby blanket, 3 pattern repeats or 4 pattern repeats. If you work 4 pattern repeats, you need to start with 195 sts.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern ❤ First time doing a mosaic pattern here. How does counting stitches work? It appears I am one stitch off as it doesnt agree with graph with the pattern. I've got 145. Does the first and last stitch count as the other two to make 147?

You should have 147 stitches on every row. The first st is the border/edge stitch before the pattern repeats start, the you work 3 pattern repeats (each 48 sts), then 1 stitch after all 3 repeats for the pattern ballance and then, the final stitch on every row is the border/edge stitch.
