$1000 for this is crazy. It's a $600 shotgun, and the extra furniture somehow justifies another $400? Be serious, bro.
@toddheimann802016 күн бұрын
I'm betting there are significant receiver changes as well as internal ones as well. Plus engineering time & validation for safety, function & durability and you have more than just furniture upgrades for the price change.

What’s to hate. A privately owned American company that builds a really reliable shotgun that goes bang every time. People get hung up on the “fancy” brands etc. I’ll take a Mossberg all day long. The MC2C pistol is often overlooked too but it’s an outstanding pistol.

@@cheese.n.crackersI agree. I will support American over anything else and always will. However, mossberg hasn’t been as honest as Remington has. Mossberg was making a bunch of stuff in Turkey and framing them as American shotguns.

Why didn't they have Magpul come up with a version of this?
@1977Yakko15 күн бұрын
I'm guessing the polymer grip and stock are probably Magpul. I'm not sure if the AR internal are made in-house or if they outsourced it to an established AR lower manufacturer.

So the question is.... Does this have the same guts etc of the proven 500 series Mossberg pumps? He says "similar", but what does that mean? Can I use the OPSol Flex Adapter for minishells? Can I take the guts out of a Maverick 88 and use in this version? One of the nice things about the 500 series is a lot of parts in the receiver can be swapped out.
@abigbrownbear16 күн бұрын
For $1000 you can get the semi auto jm Mossberg or a Beretta a300 patrol. That's too much for a pump
@1977Yakko15 күн бұрын
Don't get me wrong, this looks really cool and given how familiar many Americans are with the AR platform, it'll be an easy transition for many BUT, I love my 590A1 with Magpul furniture. I'm not giving that beast of a shotgun up for anything. Plus, being the 18.5" version, it was under $600 when I got it years ago. Added a +1 shot extension (from Mossberg) to make it a 7+1. Just add a higher power spring (from Wolff) to ensure feeding reliability. I even own a Beretta 1301 (which I freakin' love) but I still keep the Mossberg "cruiser ready" for the home defense. This is cool and I think I get why it would cost $1000 BUT I'm not spending that for a pump gun, especially when I already got a rock solid one that I trust thoroughly. Also, I'm almost afraid to ask what they charge to buy extra mags. I'm guessing that 20 rd mag is at least $50 per mag but might be as much as $100.

I don't think they're Magpul manufactured as I don't see them on their site either. Also, the barrel length is only 18.5" so that means the tube fed version is 6+1.

Can't they design the mag fed version to also tube feed, like a tube cutoff that engages when magazine is inserted. That would be interesting.

Personally, I don't like shotguns with pistol grips. To me personally, it makes them more unwieldy. You really dont see competition guys or guys who train a lot with shotguns running them a whole lot either.
@markcampbell205415 күн бұрын
AR stocks on shotguns is a bad idea. This guy on purpose set this gun up to sell the stock. When mounting an optic on a non-AR type weapon you low mount it to avoid the "chin mount" issue he on purpose created. Also you want more of the stock touching your shoulder pocket because shotguns have significantly more recoil then ARs. Shooting heavy loads with just the lower 1/2-1/3 of the stock in contact with the shoulder is a sure way to cause an injury.
@Kify2525 күн бұрын
There is no change except the forend feels lower to pump, higher sight over bore and the addition of a pistol grip. The optic to shoulder contact distance should be the same. Get a cheek riser or crank your neck down, same way they do with trad stocks.

I doubt it) Must be good for super tactical, single man, high-speed-low-drag room clearing, including three-story stairwells. All’s by “yo-seff.” I guess only a “boomer” would caution against that.
