The only negativity I have about the set is what they did to Set boosters. I liked Set boosters how they were, it looks like they tried to do collector booster lite this time. I’d rather have the extra packs than the etched foil in every pack.

Regular sets have 36 packs in a draft box and 30 in set boxes. Commander legends has 24 packs in draft boxes and 18 in set boxes.

Prerelease last night was a blast with this set. 60 card commander draft at prerelease last night was a blast. We even had a couple guys that never really played commander and we all had so much fun since it’s more social than a regular draft.

Ended up buying a box and doing a draft at home. Have to admit, this set is probably one of the best experiences I’ve had playing draft. It was so freaking fun. The cards themselves are really good or overpowered, but for sealed/draft is so freaking fun!

A friend of mine pulled a Sensei's Divining Top out of his set booster box today. I opened 2 boxes. Best list pull i got was a Sakashima's Student. Got a couple junk uncommon list pulls. I already miss the list pulls from New Capenna

The dragons are gonna be very expensive for sure. The amounts of value they produce is insane. And basically any land that produces more than one color and doesn't always enter tapped is gonna be pricey to some degree, with the exception of Command Tower.

It's a large set to simulate a singleton feel for the Limited play. That means that a particular rare will show up less frequently. There are a lot of dragons in the set at different rarity. I guess you mean the mythic rare ones. The ancient dragons in the set (the mythic rares) are actually so overpowered that it's not fun anymore. So it might be a good idea to stay away from them. Also, with the swingy D20 roll it's always feel bad, if you roll high the game is over and if roll low you're disappointed.

Compared to OG Commander Legends the reprints are lacking, the high powered new cards are lacking, and you can’t even get special treatment on older popular commanders in the collectors. This is literally a standard designed set, WOTC missed the mark big time.

@@monkey39128 i do. As a sealed product it is very good. Can't see backgrounds getting a lot of reprints and when we go back to the forgotten realms the sealed price will spike. I think draft boxes will probably hold value better, but set boxes are real nice for getting good uncommons and chasing mythics like the the ancient dragons.

Spend your money on the commander precons. Firstly, you cannot get the precon cards in set boosters in this set. Second, they have valuable reprints and new card that are guaranteed for your money. They botched the set boosters so hard. If you want dragons go for collector boxes, just watch everything drop in price first.

I disagree with people saying that there are not enough power guards in here. heck there are a lot of great common and uncommon cards in this set I have almost all the cards and you can come up with some nasty combinations you can totally take control of the game you can take control of your opponent's Battlefield ramp up your own Battlefield play opponents graveyards and libraries against them. the cards are there but they are watered down with having lots of different variants of each card

My son bought a set booster box.. I have never seen such a hot garbage box. Double same rares... got a pack that had litteraly every single diamond... only 3 mythics, which inlcuded the pirate lord list card thats .25 . Did not pull a single Dragon... and the only good card was the Archivist of Oghma.. Didnt even pull a planeswalker..

I feel his pain. A friend of mine and I open two boxes each. Both our first boxes had only three mythics and they were literally the same cards. Second box he managed four, I only three (one was a duplicate from my first) and neither of us got the big hit dragons or planeswalkers. I also ran into the same problem of getting packs that had each of the diamonds represent. The majority of our rates were duplicates. Very disappointing!

For one there no real value/chase cards in this set vs the first commander legends. Secondly, the set boosters are pretty weak especially given the fact you get 18 packs vs 30 from previous set boosters. If the majority of etched foils were worth more than 35/50 cents then it would make sense to only have 18 packs but i noticed most packs might have 1-3 dollars worth of value when each pack runs to be about 6 bucks a pack at my locals at least. Will not get another set booster box and will order singles and i encourage everyone else to do the same as it’s a waste of money and probably the worst product thus far for 2022

I think you are way of base. Adventures in the forgotten realms was really bad this set is better by miles. Commander Legends was a problem because they made it too strong and it created a power creep that became the norm thats why people love it. the goal of this set is to correct the power level. Some of the best cards in this set are the rares. all of the new dragons are bringing ton of varity to the set which is great for new players. There is tons of value in the set but also this is not a business for everyone. A lot of your view on cards is based on money which is fine it's your business. but a lot of this is fun to play and build around and will bring new players to MTG which is good for business. Every set being super pricey is pushing people out not just into proxy cards but also into other TCG's which is bad for business. Were literally in another recession.

Dockside does not need any more proliferation, but a ban if anything lol. But yeah, many reprints to be had. It is a fun set to draft though.
