Very interesting to see that both Moseño and Fujara are kind of a "forest", natural instruments with quite a deep soul. Slovakian Fujara reminds calm Slovakian forests, shepherds, trees, warm wind in setting sun and hard-working local population in small forgotten villages, while Moseño immediately pictures deep, unknown, wild and beautiful jungle of Bolivia, full of exotic animals and "unknown". Very beautiful performance 🙂🙇♂

I love the way you play the flutes. What an amazing instrument. I play fujara for a few years and love it so much. But its hard for traveling because of the weight and size. So i am very interestet in this Instrument. Can you tell me where to get one of this moseño in the same quality like yours? Its almost Impossible to find one in Professional quality
@veronika_vitazkova7 ай бұрын
thank you so much! So, I have a fujara that I can disassemble the instruments in 3 parts so it is very easy to fly with it or travel - almost like with an violin case. This moseno as well as the fujara is made by Milan Koristek fujara.pro/ from Slovakia :) I never tried any other Mosenos yet

Veronika, great sound and play! Could you tell the weight of the instrument, because this is the fist time I see you holding it lateraly, quite horizontaly so all the force in in your digits and mouth?
@veronika_vitazkova2 жыл бұрын
thank you :) I think moseno is always played horizontaly, no? it is not so heavy, only bit unstable because I have to use the right thumb for opening and closing the hole, but you can get used to that :)

Does this instrument naturally echo like that, or are you amplifying in some way or putting it through an effect? Thank you, it sounds awesome.
@veronika_vitazkova Жыл бұрын
Thank you :) I am in a small room - so yes, I put reverb on it, but this is kind a exactly how it sounds if you play in a room with this kind of acoustic - in a church or somewhere. :)

You should clarify that you are not playing it the correct way, reaching the correct sounds, or even making the correct finger positions. I mean, you are free to do as you will, but the correct thing is to let listeners know that it is not even close to the musical actual use of the moseño.
@veronika_vitazkova Жыл бұрын
it was really difficult to find some song that I would try to interpret - and that it would sound good. So I improvised and since I work a lot with sounds, soundscapes, effects.. This is exactly what I wanted to show. I didn´t mean to demonstrate the most ultimative correct traditional way how to play it. If you have any books, recordings or videos you could recommend, I will be happy to learn more 🙏🏾
