I really appreciate the Russian WW2 movies I've seen thus far. PANFILOV'S 28 is my hands down favorite. I'm an American and very proud of my country's contribution to defeating the Nazis and Imperial Japan, but I also recognize that Hitler basically lost the War on the Eastern Front. Some of the greatest battles in human history have been fought on Russian soil, and WW2 battles lead the list. I will continue to watch for great Russian WW2 films. My second favorite is T-34. So now I will sit back and watch this movie.

Look for Boy Soldier. The true story of an orphan who was adopted by a Soviet company and accompanied them through the war. If I find it I will send it to you. Also the Series, "The Dawns are Qiet" is also very good. Both of them are subtitled in very good English.

Bellissimo film. Solo i sottotitoli scorrono troppo veloci.

Not the greatest Soviet film, well fed young people with makeup wasn't something you'd see in 1944 but ok
@Sapka27Ай бұрын
In 1944, there were problems with food in the Soviet rear. But they fed well at the fronts in the Red Army, rest assured! Just because a well-fed soldier fights better! But I can't say how it was with cosmetics at the front, although I read in my memoirs that women at the front used cosmetics when they went to dances, or on holidays
