It depends on the “series” of the Mosin Nagant and the stripper clip if try a stripper clip from the WW1 on a Mosin Nagant from WW2 it won’t work and vice versa but a stripper clip from WW2 will work on a Mosin Nagant from WW2 I don’t know why but that’s how it is

You do realize that when the ammo shipped it would normally be ON clips (assuming it wasn't loose and the clips were bulk packaged separately) from the factory? There's no such thing as an issued clip lol. They were made to be semi-disposable alternatives to handloading.

The repo clips are very quirky. Best bet is buying a pack, seeing which ones don't have retention bars that like to fold in, and then using those. Even then you basically have to hold all the rounds up to get a little bit of clip into the loading slot and THEN you can lift the top round up and push down in the back.

Only thing i never liked about the mosin clips is the damn rounds always fall out of em. If you can get past that, you just need technique. I'd cradle the top one between my index and middle finger and push down at the rim.

The Krag was always said to be inferior to the Mauser but I don't see it
@LtApples1016 ай бұрын
One downside of the Krag was its side magazine. The US, who originally picked the Krag because of the magazine quickly learned it was just a gimmick that resulted in slower reloads compared to rifles with an internal magazine. They did make experimental speed loaders for the Krag to mitigate that issue, but eventually replaced it Also, unlike the Mosin, the Mauser was designed by a genius and was just difficult to outdo during that time
@reachboy02936 ай бұрын
I mean, I’m not gonna lie I have those same clips and they work fine for me… all 10 I got work perfectly. If you use the method of loading where you put your finger on the bullet and your thumb on the rear of the top cartridge and use it as a lever to push the rest of the bullets down, should work every time. Every time I’ve tried to use the clips with the message you use it never works. Those rim cartridges Love to fuck with you.

Your rifle either needs to have a small notch cut into the ejector slit to accept that clip, or the ammo you’re using is moody. Tested using my own 91/30, Steel core ammo doesn’t work but brass does. Very strange.
