Great video. Just unpacked mine yesterday and can't begin to describe the quality of the materials in the Reckless 80 v4. It's just crazy how well built this stuff is!! They're waaaaay too clean right now though, so I'm looking forward to loading them up and getting out there in that New Mexico desert dirt and getting them dirty and me use to the extra weight....so I'll be ready for some camping in the Spring!

Really happy with my Nomax. It looks like the new base is more rigid giving it less floppy fit on the 790/890. Im pretty interested in it now that change has been made.

Making the base harness of the Reckless 80L stiffer was a big reason we moved to the CURVE material we use now along with some weight savings!

Thanks for the video. Does it fit the R1300 GS with a double silencer? The silencers on the 1300GS bike are positioned pretty low. Do you think I still need to use the 2nd exhaust guard? Thanks!

The Reckless 80L fits on the new R1300GS without any issues. From the photos we've seen of customers' setups, you shouldn't need a second heat shield but it will depend on the angle of the leg bags you select.

The standard backrack ( incl. passenger handbars ) of my new Honda Transalp 750 is very large. Is that a problem for mounting the reckless 80 ? On the Mosko Moto site it is advised to remove the backrack. But then there is nothing left to attache the reckles luggage. Can you give me some advice on that matter ? Thank you very much.

You should be able to mount the Reckless 80L with the stock grab handles in place. However, an aftermarket rear rack typically provides better and more secure locations for the mounting straps.

Yes, I was thinking the same. I looked everywhere on the internet but I still do not find an aftermarked backrack which replaces the standard Honda Rack on the new transalp. Is this because it’s a new model ?

I was more thinking of an entire aftermarked backrack system which would replace the original “hand grab / backrack”. But I can not find them actualy. But as you point out, the outback mototek rack might be a good temporaly alternative. Thank you very much. 🙏

Hello,wich rear rack should i use for yamaha t7?i am looking now outback motortek rear reck combo...somethimes i have an extra pasenger but i am worried about the max weight.

Almost any rear rack will work but Outback Motortek is a great option! We also recommend Altrider and Black Dog Cycle Works.

Our most recent production of the Reckless 80L has switched to metal buckles replacing the larger buckles. With the change the replacement buckles won't be compatible anymore but if you have a previous version with plastic buckles you can reach out to our Customer Service Team at [e-mail] if you need spare buckles!

Hey Mosko is the V4 40 and V4 80 the same foot print? I have the V4 40 and love the new base want to upgrade my V3 80 to match but want to make sure it’s about the same size as the V4 40 or V3 80.

Hey MrHumpo - The V4 R80 and the V3 R80 have the same footprint which is larger than the R40.
