The greatest of musical times, with this ultra classic that carried many listeners to a new dimension. Mr Levi Stubbs, and the "Four Tops" did just that during the joyful dance sets of the 60's, and beyond. Although I was very young, I remember the teens, and adults reacting to this phenomenal song in the Chi. It was fun and joy with smiles, whenever, this was played. Thanks for playing this, You Tube !

What I love about this song is Lawrence Payton's backing vocal. He can be heard most clearly in the last 15 seconds when Levi's vocal drops off. Lawrence's voice complimented Levi and I wish he had done more lead vocals at Motown. Lawrence's interpretation of California Dreamin' from the "Soul Spin" LP is wonderful. It's The Same Old Song" is classic Motown and explains why so many of us have followed the label since the 60's to the present day. Thank you for posting John. Great remix.
