Excited about some moss on its way to me. I've had plans for making a moss checkerboard for years. I had a baby, and I am planning to place her on moss holding a 4 leaf clover. She is so magical and will look like a little leprechaun. After the shoot, I will attempt my checkerboard. Chess would be difficult with the unlevel tiles, but I might attempt it with my fairy chess pieces.

Lovely video. I've seen some people recommend preserving them with glycerin, do you know if that step makes a difference?

Hi there, came across this in my search for a problem I'm having. You did a great job and saw at the end that it was part of CT grant....yay! A CT resident myself and we have LOTS of moss. I glue it also, but because I use "messy" moss and it is on something vertical, I'm looking for some sort of spray to help with the inevitable dropping moss. Could find absolutely nothing on the web. But yes, enjoyed watching this, informative.

Yay CT moss folks!! I've had great luck with putting spray adhesive on the surface first, then putting on the chaotic moss for vertical things! I did a moss couch like this once haha

Mossive! So I‘m kinda getting into doing this stuff and I just felt like sticking it would be so easy but glue feels a little weird doesn‘t it... So I found some resin from the trees which becomes really sticky when you burn it and afterwards becomes hard just like glue. The process is pretty messy but it also smells gud ;)
@hannahbosland7319 Жыл бұрын
Awesome! What's it called? I wonder if potato glue would work.
@rabbit4975 Жыл бұрын
@@hannahbosland7319 Just take excess resin from trees, you can also find it where trees have recently fallen. Collect it in a box, burn it and the stuff that drips is really sticky when it‘s hot. But you‘ll get your fingers dirty for sure :)

@@VanGoPlaces Well you might know it already and its also not a strict moss or moss categorizing channel, but my best find so far is "serpa design". glhf!

Moss is nos :) I’d love one of those japanese moss lawns. Would probably require a LOT of moss, though. I’d also need my own lawn...

Slightly off topic, I'm looking to preserve moss in epoxy and I'm worried about trapping a lot of moisture in the epoxy. Seeing as you seem to know more than I about moss, do you reckon I need to worry about the moisture and if so, how long should I let it dry?
@bobrowan86183 жыл бұрын
Love the video by the way, will definitely try frames as well.

When I'm cleaning it initially, I might get a very small number of critters. I've never had a problem after that though!

What about growing furniture out of mushrooms then adding some moss for the seat I might do a moss ceiling because steam rises Definitely got mushroom as insulation And mushrooms as leather And mushrooms as lionsmane steaks There are many varietys of Moss I always wanted to do like a colour chart of all the mosses Like those carpet shops have Moss removes pollution But what if we just don't make any I'm going no pollution no fuel no batteries and no plastic for the health of our planet Gravity powered 💡 Magneticly heated♨️ Lightbulb water mist flame effects🔥 And Acoustic fire extinguisher Because i imagine they last longer than normal ones being that it's just a speaker in a bucket with a hole cut out But yea free energy Is real Gravity is infinite Infinite power sources do not require energy storage And there's also good compressed air cars now Maybe sails on vehicles will make a comeback from the early 1900s But they have evolved since then
