Aw Jane that's lovely... my mother chose a composition my brother composed fleet wood Mac song bird. On the day we chose to play the original song as my other brother and I decided that no one might know the song....I regret this to the day.

my wife never really listened to David Bowie, but ever since she heard this song, she pretty much needs it to fall asleep. Don't know how many times we've watched this video in bed at night. thanks

Hi, sorry for this late reply. Thank you for your kind words and it's heart warming to know that your wife sleeps soundly to this old video of mine. i only tried to capture the feel of what David and Mr Eno were creating at the time. send my best to the Mrs

A song for lovers with a koto instrumental section at the end, 'Smile' (1976) by the New York genius singer/songwriter Laura Nyro. Also koto and cimbalom in Nyro's romantically erotic 'Upstairs by a Chinese Lamp' (1970) - just sublime. Nyro is Rock Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Too many people judge Bowie by the singles he released, but that is the biggest misconception ever! The many albums, especially those between 69 and 77 represent the most brilliant consecutive body of work by any artist I can think of!

Yes, it's amazing what beauty we can find right underneath our noses. The music does go well with this surreal woodland scenery.

Did someone teach David Bowie to play the koto? He's no June Kuramoto, but he doesn't sound like a rank amateur either. Me, I would in up playing koto like sounds on a MalletKat synthesizer.
@estebanposadaduque64158 жыл бұрын
.. he actually was a very virtuoso learner ...and so he did played it ....

Due palle, mamma mia... Se mi avessero detto che non è Bowie ma uno sconosciuto qualsiasi, ci avrei creduto subito.
