A single crochet around the edges of the washcloth with 3 in each corner would really finish this off nicely!!

@AmandaCrochets
@AmandaCrochets 7 ай бұрын
@@hbogielski I really like dishie yarn a lot! I’m not a huge fan of the sugar and cream yarn either. My go to cotton yarn is the hobby lobby I love this cotton, but dishie is probably second. For the 24/7 cotton, I personally wasn’t a huge fan. It wasn’t bad to work with, but I just didn’t care for it. It felt a little too stiff to me, so I wouldn’t use it for a washcloth. @@AmandaCrochetsthe Half Double results in what looks like THREE loops (front, top, and back). Only two of them are the real ones though. The top one is obvious, so she’s asking which *other* one goes with it. The answer is the BACK one. So the top + back are the two loops that the hook goes in.

@AmandaCrochets

You might be missing the slip stitches, which is why your work isn’t starting and ending with a slip stitch. I suggest going up a hook size for the chain and first row if you’re having difficulties. Hopefully that helps 😊

Im still new with crochet and for the life of me I can not get them to come out the same length and width. Please let me know. Im still struggling with my tension and it frustrates me to think I may never get my tension right. Im a tight crocheter does it have to do with my dishcloth not coming out the same length and width each time?!
@AmandaCrochets
@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
Your tension definitely plays a part. I suggest going up a hook size and trying to keep your stitches loose. That should help a little with getting your project the size you want. Over time, and with practice, your tension should ease up a bit. When I first learned how to crochet, my stitches were so tight that I couldn’t insert my hook. Just give it time, practice, and patience 😊

I have been crocheting for about 40 years and this isn't like any Moss stitch that I've ever seen. I learned it as sc skip a ch... all the way across on the first row and the sc in each chain space the rest of the rows. You can also use hdc instead of sc. I don't want to offend you but I also don't want people to learn the wrong stitch names. It would be very confusing. Maybe you learned it differently so maybe you can search for the moss stitch and see what I mean. It does make a lovely dish cloth. ✌🏻😻🧶
