This is what I'm getting for my kids the ones with the extensions it's the Mossberg 510 so they can grow with their gun and hunt and have something for self-defense / home defense. 8) and a 20 gauge is recoil it's just so much easier to manage but they still pack a big punch it's going to be a great.

It's probably none of my business but he seems a little disappointed or hurt that he bought it for his nephew but it's just been collecting dust which breaks my heart if this is the case. I would thank God for such an uncle on a regular basis. I'm probably misreading things though.

Great little guns...of course theres gonna be some negative reviews from the people who build there own guns or sheep who flock to the $2000 benellis...ive been a die hard mossberg fan for 20 years...other tgen short stroking a time or 2 ive never had an issue!! Everybody raves about the remington 870...yea there awesome, until you buy one and then everybody will tell you its junk too!! All guns have pros and cons!! You shoot your 2k beretta and ill shoot my $150 mossberg and lets see which one hits the target first!!

dave matejicek I'm with you on this. I've never had an issue with this little gun. It seems of all the guns I own, I get more trouble out of the more expensive ones. Everybody says it's the tighter tolerances. Well I prefer a working gun to tighter tolerances.

gonzo brother, my brother just ow gifted me what i think is the same thing, but has the polyester stock. also takes screw in chokes and the only one i have is the modified. about the only problem i can foresee is that being a youth model the butt stock is so short that when i aim it the thumb on my shooting hand touches my nose and the recoil, especially a 3 inch mag could give me a bloody nose lol. so do you know of any butt stock extensions i could get?

I think you can straight up buy a full length stock to replace it as well. But this is cheap, and you can use it on other guns to.

It's not easy to find. But it is out there. Hit and miss at the local gun stores. Haven't looked online.
