In this video, we will perform a basic Field Strip of the Mossberg 590 Shockwave.

Always point your weapon in a safe direction! At all times!
Always keep your finger outside of the trigger guard and off of the trigger until you're ready to shoot!

I have a mossberg 500 also, which is quite similar to the 590. You seem very knowledgeable about this firearm. Excellent tutorial. I had quite a bit of trouble getting the trigger group back in, though you have to really pay attention to make sure both the cartridge interrupter and the cartridge stop are in place. I thought they were and I was trying to cram the trigger group back in, several times, and then I realized one or the other kept popping out. I paid better attention and it went right in.

Came across ur video while researching take down of moss 590. U have an excellent voice and pronunciation while narrating this video. Everything was well thought out in advance that a 6 year old could follow. Excellent job, thank you. You left out the part where the trigger housing won't reinstall and you have to throw the whole gun across the shop... I didn't really. There was a defect in the plastic molding that was catching on the shell stop arm, which my Lady saw before me (God Bless you honey), and I had to take a pocket knife and trim the edge off of it. Nothing is ever easy, lol. This video helped A TON, and I thank you for posting it.

Outstanding presentation and explanations/proceedures for both assembly and reassembly. I had a few issues with reassembly of my 590S as well aligning that darn bolt and bolt carrier with the forend arms. I got through it in short order, however on my freinds 590 shockwave....not so much. That trigger group would not go in with the bolt that far forward as in this video. I eventually push the bolt and bolt slide back into the action so that just the visable extractor cleared the port on the rear of the frame, then the trigger group sliped right in with no problem. Function checked even function checked using dummy rounds....worked perfectly.

I didn’t see you taking the Magazine Spring or Follower out. Other than that a great video. My Shockwave is on the way and this is going to really help. I always clean any new gun to me whether new from the factory or used. The first time I watched it I was a bit concerned. Second time it all makes sense.
