Lay your filler cord diagonally over the cords you will be knotting with. Starting with the cord closest to your filler cord, loop the working cord around the filler cord. Make sure to pass it from back to front through the loop it makes below the filler cord. Loop each cord TWICE around the filler cord and tighten/adjust each knot as you go.
Keep the filler cord in the direction you want the knots to go!

Hello! I believe you are asking why the lengths of the ropes were not included - this video is a demonstration of a knot and does not show a complete project. And there are no subtitles since there are no words, just background music. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

What do you do with the end of the rope you use as guide for the horizontal clove hitch ?

Hello Aldana, I created this video as a resource for those taking my macrame class for clove hitch knots -- you can see the full class sample project here: tinyurl.com/5n6h9ka4 In the sample I left the ends out and knotted them so they wouldn't fray -- you can also take needle nose pliers and tuck the ends through knots on the back of your piece to hide them (or, I've also hot glued them around to the back!). Thanks for watching!
