As I take time revisiting the videos I uploaded as part of my teaching career, I find myself missing the classroom discussion and feedback from students based on the media I we engaged with collectively. There is SO much more I have taught on this video and the philosophical/theological themes, and would love to do so on a wider level than just in the school setting. So if you're visiting this comment section, please consider two actions: 1) I'd love for you to subscribe to my channel, as I've pivoted to actively making content rather than just uploading clips for when I teach, and I'd really value your engagement so I can more directly get to know all of you and get into your thoughts I've read in the comment section of clips like these. 2) I'd LOVE to hear your feedback as to whether you'd like more philosophy/theology/thinking-type videos where we talk more about these concepts. Maybe even together in live-stream videos. So if you could, please reply to this comment and let me know if you'd like that and some ideas for content I can create to truly engage with what you'd be interested in philosophically getting into. All of you matter just for existing and being on this planet. And all of you have more worth inherent in your being than you could ever possibly know. I am striving to inspiring others in their journey, their questions, and ultimately, their worth, and I would sincerely LOVE it if you joined me in doing so.

I lost my youngest son. Unfortunately I can relate to this father’s pain. But then I think about our Heavenly Father’s with loosing his beloved son. And my pain don’t seem so great. We will see one another again soon and the joy will overcome all the pain.

I am a 67 year old man who has seen life from many angles and I have to say that this film MOVED ME!! The story has to have been written by a father who truly loved his child and who is also a VERY good person. The decision....... I don't know if I could have made it....even in a story.

Actually William Zabka who wrote the script with his friend wasn't a father yet, but he is a believer and in that way has experienced the sacrifice of a loving father to be saved first hand... He also experienced a very loving earthly father (he talks about him quite a bit in interviews). I heard him share in interviews that the story is actually believed to be a true story that Billy had heard at a camp when he was a young lad and it had really impacted him. He never forgot it. Then when his friend Bobby G. approached him that he heard that story as well and wanted to make a film about it, he instantly jumped on it. That was in 2001. They left for Europe to film it two weeks after 9/11 had happened. The documentary of how this movie was made is quite amazing. I wish someone would upload it. I have it on DVD but not sure how to get it on KZbin.

Realize with the reboot of Karate Kid...aka Cobra Ki that William Zabka was nominated for Best Short Film for this movie. He co-wrote and produced this film and its amazing. He is way more than just Johnny from Karate Kid. His talent is unmeasurable. I hope one day he is able to do it again.

God the Father had to see the death of His only begotten Son Jesus Whom He sacrificed so that You and I may not die eternally but have Life and Life eternal. That's the Christmas message that Jesus was born to die that We might live. SALVATION GIVEN BY GOD TO US IS SO COSTLY THAT NONE OF US COULD HAVE BOUGHT IT OR EARNED IT, SO HE GAVE IT FREE SALVATION IS FREE BUT CERTAINLY NOT CHEAP. IT COST, GOD, HIS SON AND IT COST HIS SON JESUS, HIS VERY LIFE

This has a parallel to how God had to allow his son to die on the cross for our sins to be forgiven and for our souls to be saved yet many are going through life not knowing about the great sacrifice that was made and paid for them.

It is called the trolley problem, it is a thought experiment that has been around for over 100 years. They likely just borrowed the scenario, as I personally have seen it used as an analogy for the resurrection in Christianity as well.
