Most Advanced RoboVac EVER Proscenic M7 Pro Laser Robot Vacuum Mop Vac with Automatic Dust Bin Disposal System Demo Review
This really is the smartest Robot Vacuum Cleaner I've ever come across. It has just about every feature you can imagine, including laser mapping technology, restricted no-go zones, specific cleaning zones, mopping feature, smart automatic dust bin dirt disposal cleaning, and more. It cleans every square inch of your floors and does it intelligently. It knows where it is and where it's been and makes sure it doesn't waste time going over the same spot a million times or missing spots entirely like many other RoboVacs. This thing is on par with the latest from iRobot Roomba or Neato Robotics and possibly even better. It also includes the usual Alexa integration for stopping and starting, but mostly you'll use the app to set up automatic cleaning cycles or to have it clean a specific area an extra time. Truly a RoboVac for a new decade! In this review I demo every aspect of this advanced robotic cleaning system.

You mentioned in a comment only needing to clean the vac’s brushes and dust bin only every couple months or so…but im a little concerned that might give a lot of us a false hope of the amount of work these vacs still require to continue operating well. It’s definitely worth it, especially Proscenic’s but i still spend quite a lot of time maintaining ours (I have 2 Proscenic’a amd one Trifo Pet - Proscenic’s much better and WAY smarter computer chip and mechanical abilty to navigate intelligently while being GENTLE yet rarely giving up on challenge points it comes acroos feom a blocked charging station due to a new Christmas tree, to cords and especially carpets!)). But yeah, wow! In so jealous! You must have a very clean place; and live in an apartment or condo? I have 2 Proscenic M7 PROs and feel they’re quite superior over other bots i’ve used (esp for the price). HOWEVER, unlike you, i STILL have to regularly clean the entire robot especially the brushes and brush area, and the dust bin - plus the exterior of the bot, which does get dusty (perhaps dogs add a LOT of dander?). How many people in your household (we have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 adults)? Wondering how mine is SO different than your experience….i make everyone remove shoes too! 😂 Maybe the type of dirt we have, which is “loamy soil” (usually meaning good percentage of ash), higher iron levels, but also we have a significant amount of sand now too since hubby is doing a stone patio project and the dang dogs insist on having WWF style wrestling matches in the sand stuff he put down for the stone to be set on!). Even prior to hubby buying sand for the patio, i think the dirt just “sticks” here, i really dont know why. Could it be the type of “charge” that are debris give off, and or any “static charge” it may be getting depending on floor type (we have porcelain tiles mostly plus some throw rugs’). In attempts to reduce the # of “manual cleans” and maintenance i need to do on the vacuum as well as the auto dust bins, thus saving ME more time cleaning vs adding to it (!), Ive tried to make the surfaces of the entire vacuum more dirt “repellent” (reduce attraction of debris at surface level only) by adding different cleaning / protective chemicals like silicon, and or diff types of “buffed off” waxes & polishers; from bees wax to a diff types of car wax (using polymers and silicon (no solvent!))! These have helped and make it easier for me to do a good job cleaning the vacuum out, but it STILL has plenty to clean off a couple times a week! I use them multiple times a day though and have 2 short haired dogs and 2 kids (one girl and myself with shoulder length hair). So our brushes ALSO have to be maintained regularly and i use special brush for that in addition to the one it came with. But im just in AWE that you ONLY NEED TO CLEAN THE bin and brushes every other month!! Im so jealous! Regardless, im still thankful to have the auto dust bin…..and i dont need to empty the mass in the vac making a re-exposure mess to breathe! So dust bin is powerful but seems to do a good job sealing air born particles from escaping into the air; both at rest as well as when active! I believe any dust that IS potentially discovered is from the tops / bottoms of the vac itself, as well as whatever dust that may be left between the back of the auto dust bin and the wall (and hiding underneath the baseboards like i’ve found with ours - especially given that they are “tile” and there is a slight;y lower space in the grout lines which all sit below the wall trim! ). The vacuums have helped me notice more of these “hot zone” type areas, and i have even started pulling up a lot of the trim to totally fill all and any gaps! In fact, i kind of like it better with NO trim at all….and as you know, the Proscenic is a very “gentle” touching robot! Way softer than the other 3 brands ive had including i’robot, and Trifo Pet!

How do you connect the dust collector to the m7 pro. I hit the + add device but not sure of the part number to add
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 3 жыл бұрын
I'm trying to remember if I did anything special. I don't think so. I think I just plugged in the dust collector and put the m7 pro on the charger and then everytime it vacuumed after that it knew that it was a dust collector and would spin around and dump the dust then spin back around to dock for charging. Yeah, I just hunted down the dust collector manual and there's nothing you do. I guess it has a special signal or some way of communicating to the vac that it's a dust collector.

This was super helpful! Just got my own Proscenic M7 with dispenser tower. Any new learnings since this video? Also, (1) do you know if you’re able to (or need) to use the extra charging station that came with the vac? (2) Do you add floor cleaning agent to your mopping basin along with water (I see this may have been answered in another comment thread)? (3) Also came with white micro-fiber pads, how do you use those? Thanks so much!!
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
Nothing new really. It runs every day and does it's thing! Still loving it. Don't need the charging station if you got the tower - in that case it really is just an extra thing I guess just in case... I don't use the floor mopping thing as much as I thought I would - due to the fact that you have to actually take time to do something. (ie Laziness) The microfiber pads can be used anytime as an extra dust grabber - you can use them occasionally when running the vac or you can throw them on there and use before/after using the mop feature. Again, I don't use that much since it requires me doing something. haha The beauty of this thing is really the daily vacuuming and not even having to empty the bin. (Dang, we've gotten lazy! lol)
@rainmaker3000
@rainmaker3000 4 жыл бұрын
hollywoodfrodo haha laziness is just technology working for us! I’ve been having issues with the tower unit sucking up the vac basin..likely because I have a couple dogs that shed and block the opening to the basin. So it’s pretty much useless, not sure if you’ve experienced anything like this. Thanks again for the quick reply!

Great review! Thanks! Does the mop attachment have to b removed before it automatically self empties in the auto empty dust bin station? Also, does the auto empty dust bin cleaning station clean out the filter as well or does the filter still need to b hand cleaned?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
Good questions. So the mop feature I would say is "semi-automated" meaning, you'd want to do it after the vacuum has run normally to pick up debris, then you'd set up the mopping system, tell it to run, it'd do it's thing on it's own, then after, you'd remove the mop pad and then it would empty the bin of any extra stuff it picked up and dock itself. The auto empty part only empties the bin, it doesn't clean the filter or brushes so you still have to do that periodically yourself. Because our floors are hard floors and don't have a ton of messy stuff, I only do that every couple of months, but depending on your situation, that's something you might have to do every 2 weeks or every few months...

Does it know how to return back to where it left off once it goes to recharge or empty its bin?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does, though I haven't ever used this because it has a large enough battery that even on a higher suction cycle it cleans my entire area without dying. But it does have memory so if your space is extra large AND you're running it on super high suction so that the battery dies, it will go charge for a few hours then return to pick up where it left off.

When Finished cleaning a separate room unit does not seem to know how to stop - it just wanders around. Am I doing something wrong? Also does app send a “finished cleaning” notice to my phone when it has finished?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... I don't use that feature much because I mainly let it clean our main areas on its schedule, but I believe if you have it do a specific room it should stop once done. You can create multiple maps so you can have it map out a new room and then when you put it in there, you go to that map so it knows what room you have it in - in that case it should stop when done because it knows where it is. It does not send a notification to phone when done. It announces it if you don't have silent turned on in the app, but doesn't send a notification to your phone.

thankyou, just wondered however how come it's your 4th one? The other 3 didn't die did they?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
Partially just upgrading. BUT the very first one, the Neato Robotics did eventually die - after about 3 years. Then we had the 2nd replacement one which was a cheaper one. It worked fine, but then I found the Samsung Powerbot at a great price so upgraded to that one. Then I got the Proscenic which is the best because of the AI Intelligent Mapping (don't have to worry about closing bedroom doors) and the Auto Bin Emptying. However, we still have the Samsung Powerbot and use it in our sunken living room (since they haven't yet invented one of these that can vacuum and climb down stairs - maybe one day). The Proscenic (and the Powerbot) are still going strong!

Can i use floor cleaner instead of water?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
You can use floor cleaner or floor cleaner additive for water meant for use in floor cleaning machines. You can't use floor cleaner meant to be used directly on floors with a mop or something. Also keep in mind this doesn't scrub the floors at all, it's more like if you were to take a damp cloth and just wipe over the floor - it'll get some dust/dirt that the vacuum might not pick up.

How did you get it to map out your home?
@hollywoodfrodo
@hollywoodfrodo 4 жыл бұрын
It does it itself the first time you run it. If there are rooms you don't want it to go into that first time, you can shut the doors or put something in the way to block it from actually entering that room. But it uses laser to literally map out everywhere it goes the first time it runs. It's pretty freakin' awesome!
