I've had mine for 4 months now and I love it! I'm going to be expanding it soon.. DIY... Should be pretty good! Then a 20w laser head. It's going to be awesome!

Hi ! Thank you for the reveiew, sounds good ! Do you think it's possible to adapt a "rotating blade" as a paper cutter where the laser is mounted on ? I'm still looking for such a blade... Or is it useless as it can cut paper without burning it ?

Hi, what you are looking for is a "drag knife" that is typically used to cut vinyl for stickers. If all you need to cut is paper, you can use a laser at low power settings, the edges would become blackened though (you can fine tune your settings for better cut).

Is it possible to make printed circuit board?

I haven't tried it yet. I have a theory though, you can coat the board with paint and then engrave the places where you don't want the copper. This will remove the paint coating, once that's done, you can dip the board in cupric chloride solution to remove the exposed copper. Clean the paint and you'll have a PCB

Hello, could you please offer more information about the problem? Is it solely the light that isn't functioning, or is your laser not powering on at all?

I bought a z1 i wanted to use light I updated the firmware as per manufacturers instructions so i could use lightburn and now I dont see the the green light in the controller box and it no longer connect to laser grbl nor lightburn burn,when I plug in the USB it appears in device manager and it appear under laser in lightburn but under console its waiting for connection

The laser powers on no communication with lightburn nor grbl since firmware update.

It seems like the issue might be with your Baud Rate setting. Make sure that the correct COM port is selected in your laser software, and then try setting your Baud Rate to 115,200. If that doesn't work, try using 230,400.

Is it true that to install the software you need 8GB of ram?

@@MellowpineLasers The manual does not specify it. I think it refers to the driver. I already installed LaserGBRL and I had no problem.
