I have added some new books to my TBR just from watching this video. I am also very excited for Ninth House and The Starless Sea. Other books I am excited for are: Girls of Storm and Shadow, Blood Heir and A House of Rage and Sorrow.

You're right that this fall has a ton of exciting stuff coming up. I've got far too many on my TBR right now! I'm super excited for some aroace releases this fall. First, like you mentioned, is Beyond the Black Door. But there's also Tarnished Are the Stars by Rosiee Thor, and Hazel's Theory of Evolution by Lisa Jenn Bigelow, which is the first MG contemporary I've ever heard of with an asexual main character. I'm super excited about all them. I'm also looking forward to all the black girl magic happening this fall: War Girls by Tomi Onyebuchi; A River of Royal Blood by Amanda Joy; Daughters of Nri by Reni K Amayo; and Queen of the Conquered by Kacen Callender.

Hi, Sam! How are? How was summer? How is BooknestFest going? I hope that everything is well and you are surrounded by friends. About the video you are totally right:Why does fall always has the most incredible books? For me this year is tricky because I should do unhaul instead of hauls but here we go. My picks are from the releases are: ‘ the ten thousand doors of january’, ‘The starless sea’ (I’m reading ‘The night circus’ and I’m like this 🤩). Of course, ‘The ninth house’ is also on the list because of your influence 😏. I may also add ‘ There will come Darkness’ too. I cannot wait to the release of the last book of the Shades of magic trilogy (The collector edition, I mean). I know you’re not a fan of that one but I’m very intrigued and V.E. Schwab is very important to me in so many levels. As for the Spanish market I am dying to read a book called ‘ Buenas hermanas’ by Costa Alcalá. Fernando Costa and Georgia Alcalá write very good fantasy under the pen-name Costa Alcalá (they wrote a trilogy “La Segunda Revolución”, a steampunk, university mystery book, very angsty that I wish it was translated into English because I think you would love). In ‘Buenas hermanas’ Costa Alcalá create a retelling of ‘Little women’ (My favourite book of all time) but in a dystopian world...And I don’t know how to process that but I’m ready. How are you going to read all the releases? Depending on your mood or you already have a Fall TBR? I wish you a great week! Lots of hugs from Spain 😊

I had no idea Garth Nix had a new fantasy series coming out! Honestly Sabriel/Lirael/Abhorsen were my life when I was a kid so I'm super excited to see what this new magic system is going to be like!! Oh in terms of new awesome fantasy books coming out in fall there's one called Crier's War which I hear is both really good and has an f/f romance so I'm hyped for that.

Great list! My most anticipated releases (most of which I have preordered but they are staggered over a few months so that was my justification lol) are- the PEL edition of Sanditon by Jane Austen (9/5), PostScript by Cecelia Ahern (9/19), the Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch by Tom Fletcher (10/3?), the new TV tie in editions of more of the Poldark books by Winston Graham (scattered throughout October), the illustrated Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling (10/8?), Starless Sea of course, and the Gentleman's Guide to Getting Lucky by Mackenzi Lee (but I need to read the others first). I think I am leaving one out but maybe not. The 3 I am most excited for are PostScript, Starless Sea (Night Circus is in my top 5 favorite books of all time 😍), and the illustrated HPGF😍📘.

I`m really anticipating Dangerous alliance by jennicke cohen. It`s a YA regency romance with a protagonist that is a Jane Austen fangirl and it has dual povs. Also the third book in the athena club series by Theodora Goss comes out, "The sinister mystery of the mesmersing girl". It has the most beautiful cover, its the last in the series :/ There plot is set around a cast of young women each with a uniqe backstory, it has a fun narration(though not one for eveybody, think deadpool) fun gothic yet not too much feel to it. Very funny, scary villains. (this is all the series in generall ,havent read the last book as its not out yet.) Highly recomend the series.

@@TheVolterra13 In The US, fall starts on typically the 3-4th week of September. if you google it, it lands on September 23rd. Also, thats typically when the temperature starts to drop , next week for me its going to be in the 80's every day.

if i can just chime in with my opinion: dont read the bone witch, its not good. i mean, i would love to hear a rant review, but i think you can really save your time and skip that one. no interesting characters, very flimsy magic system and world building, tons of uninteresting filler scenes that dont help the plot along... it was very forgettable but also infuriating in how amateurish it read...
