One of the most anticipated for me is Sarah J. Maas' House of Earth and Blood. I'm hesitantly excited, as I liked ACOTAR series, but not TOG 😅

THANK YOU for specifying that just because it's in a city doesn't make it Urban Fantasy and that UF means it's in our world. I've tons of highly anticipateds, but top of that list is *The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune* which is his first Tor.com book and is out next week. The second is The Extraordinaries, which is YA and is also with Tor and due out in May. And as you seem to be getting into more romance, I HIGHLY recommend TJ's Wolfsong and the rest of the Green Creek series. BEAUTIFUL prose, BEAUTIFUL characters and a fantastic story of wolves, witches, revenge, found family and of course romance. And angst, I know you re a fan of that! TJ is one of my favorite authors period and is the KING of MM romance across all types including his comical and hard-hitting stuff, so anything he writes is worth reading. TFS :)

Oh wow. I didn't realize that's what Josie Silver's new book was about. I had planned on reading it regardless cause I loved One Day in December so much. I want to read it even more now. I have the e-ARC for In five Years. I gotta get on that.

Pale Ranga As an Indian it’s pretty weird too. In Chennai, there’s no season except summer and Fall isn’t a season in India, Monsoon is.

@@shreeeeeeeeeeeeee I don't think I could live without a winter XD 3 days into Summer and I'm like, okay, too hot, bring back jumpers and hot chocolate nights

Pale Ranga Winter’s my favourite season. It’s just easier and nicer to remedy the cold than to remedy the heat. I’ve never seen snow though (3 year old me doesn’t count cause I don’t remember it). The regional variations are HIGH though. Mumbai is defined by Monsoon, Rajasthan and Chennai are always hot, Delhi has both in extremes but Coimbatore is always pleasant like the hill stations. [Wow, I just like gave a class on Geography or something]

@@shreeeeeeeeeeeeee Be proud of that. As an Aussie, someone asks me about weather climates and I'm like, hot in the middle, who knows on the rest, keeps bloody changing XD

I'm neck deep in books I want to catch up on, so I'm not sure I'll surface for new releases until fall! But that's when Well Played by Jen Deluca comes out, so that's a release I'm anticipating. I just started Red Sister the other day (catching up...), so maybe The Girl and the Stars will hit my anticipated releases list soon. :)

I can't wait for Shorefall and The City We Became, they are both super high on my list. I also can't wait for Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. She is an auto-buy author at this point, I love her writing.

I am so hyped for N.K. Jemisin's new book! I've gotten to the point with her writing that I don't even bother reading the synopsis because I know it's gonna be amazing no matter what. I've got a couple of other books I'm interested in, but The City We Became is probably the only one that I want to get my hands on asap.

I'm so excited for Shorefall. I absolutely adored Foundryside, with the unique magic system, and clef, and all that gravity stuff omg. One of my fave fantasy books.

Great list! I can't wait for The Glass Hotel, My Dark Vanessa and Darling Rose Gold. You've really opened my view to trying out new genres of books that I normally wouldn't specifically the contemporary books. I read When Dimple Met Rishi and Well Met because of your reviews and really enjoyed them. Great video as always!

I think you'll like Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee it comes out in June, but... Magical forest, necromancy vibes, female protagonist is a spy, "for fans of Naomi Novik and Susan Dennard", slightly inspired Asian fantasy. Sounds like your type of thing! I posted this on another video, but I figured this one is what you'd want to scroll through and see recommendations on. I won't bother you about it again 😂

It’s not a new release but literally just came out this past week, and that’s The House of Earth and Blood, Crescent City by S J Maas? I LOVED the ACOTAR series, particularly ACOMAF. I’ve got my copy but just a little hesitant as it’s not set in a fantasy world but rather a city that resembles one in the real world. It’s been described as paranormal romance/urban fantasy (not a fan of either genre 🤢) so just wanted to see if you’re reviewing it at some point. Your reviews are always on point. And thank you for all your videos, I’ve got some books that are now beloved favourites of mine. 😊❤️
