This isn't to say they are naturally vicious, but their muscle mass, strong jaws, and competitive nature made them natural fighters. They are lovely dogs if trained right

My little morkie did that once he was trying to jump on the couch and hit the lower end and bounced right back I put it on my TikTok and called it short leg problems I’m so proud of you big boy I cannot believe how beautiful he is makes Me want to get one for my support animal for my mental health watching your videos helps me so thank you and your beautiful animals they are such loving dogs and yours are trained so beautifully I could never afford one but love watching your videos thank you bless you and your beautiful dogs

I've got 3 pit bulls, 2 males that are each right at 100 lbs @ an adorable little female that might be 55 lbs if she's really lucky @ . All 3 are rescues, and I've had pits before but these guys really got to me. The male , he'll be 14 this year @ o I've had him not quite a yr. He spent the first 13 yrs of his life on a ten foot log chain, since he was a big gator head, he was forced to kill any dog that got within his reach or be beaten until he could barely stand. And I'll stop there about the hell that was his life until he came to my house. For the 1st time in his life, he now had a 1/2 acre fenced lot all to himself, covered in grass @ trees @ a huge dog house with windows @ it's own little porch. In the winter he has a heating pad ( canine safe ) nestled down in thick piles of straw.. He wears no collar now, not a chain in sight, @ spends his days laying on the sun awhile, then the shade... He always had clean good water @ his food bowl is there if he wants it. Never again will chain, collar, or a 2×4 be within sight of him, or anytthing else that might hurt him. His old age is full of comfort @ love @ peace @ affection. His eyes at growing dim, but the love and happiness shines with their own glow. The female was pulled from the kill list at the ripe old age of 1 yr old. She's very small, rather dainty @ i believe her to be the runt. The rescue who saved her life kept her for 5 months, waiting for someone who would give her a chance. The 1st few months she'd wake almost every night crying out, shaking ,trembling in fear. It took patience,time,love, honestly caring. She also would suck a corner of her blanket for self comfort. She's much better now, she still sucks her tongue or blanket now @ then, but now it's only very rarely that she will begin crying in her sleep @ it escalate into crying out. I'm always close enough to put my hands on her side, speak softly reassuring her she's safe and loved. Her days are spent playing with the other male. Napping in the sun, @ stealing one another's toys @ hiding them ... She will turn 2 this yr. And she's not grown not even one inch taller, her vet says she's healthy. Her play buddy is about 100 lbs of good natured, loving, protective big bro who will be 4 Oct 10th. I'm sad to say he witnessed someone get physically abusive with me at 7 months old @ it really affected him. I got him into a kennel so he didn't get hurt but he tried desperately to get or to me and couldn't. So, he never forgot it, and he is VERY protective of both of us now. I'm so happy ppl and love my little family, so thankful that God brought us together and we went from 3 broken , lonely @ fearful to one solid, strong, family unit built on love @ held by faith @ trust. Together, we are one. Pit bulls have a special magick,a tenderness from their heart that heals like no other.. That is the essence of Pit Bull. Love.

Fun fact; Dogs do not smile instinctively. It's a learned behavior from watching the owner and imitating you in fun moments. It's a voluntary submissive sign
