@TheDpb1673 жыл бұрын
@@johnowens2270 I’d have to respectfully disagree. There are some great quartz pieces and you can genuinely love watches even with a quartz movement. Would I have preferred a mechanical movement? Probably, but that’ll come later when my budget is a little higher.
@frankdux56933 жыл бұрын
@@johnowens2270 nothing wrong with quartz. I've got about 50/50 quartz and mechanical. Some of them I purposely bought the quartz over mechanical because sometimes I can't be bothered to set watches but still like to where watches with nice for and finish etc.

The Direnzo DRZ 04 Mondial is another fantastic option in this category. Swiss Made, 40mm, incredible bowl dial, Selitta SW-200 Elabore movement, TREMENDOUS lume, super thin and comfortable, and comes with both butterfly and dive-style clasps. I've got the white dial with the black metal indices and it is one of my favorite watches. $790.

Yo Teddy, Ben here. I own the Formex Essence 39 and it is an absolute steal for the price. A superbly finished watch. Hi Teddy! I only just found your chanel and bought my first ever Automatic watch. I wanted to make it special so I got a Seiko Limited edition Studio Ghibli watch. I made the decision after listening to you talk well about Seiko even though you don't sell it. I was wondering if you could do a video about what kinds of questions you recommend first time buyers should ask the retailer to get a better understanding of their purchase. When I bought my watch online (due to the Australian lockdown restrictions), the manager at the Seiko boutique in Melbourne asked me if I knew about the movement, he asked me if I knew about the materials being used , and he asked me if I knew about what to expect with automatics, service and other little things that I never thought to ask about. I basically got my hand held to ensure that I was making an educated decision. So shout out to Seiko Melbourne. So what questions should first time buyers ask their retailer and how will these questions help the buyer? (For example, learning about the movement of my watch taught me about how accurate it will be over time. That was a huge eye opener and showed me why a $2000 watch costs that much over a $500 with similar "features.")

I've got a blue Highlife COSC. It's gorgeous, and the QR bracelet with leather and rubber strap options in the box is worth noting. Gives a bit more flexibility when you're not in the mood for full metal. Some good interesting watches Teddy, I ,must admit to having a soft spot for the PRX. The quartz is the sensible option clearly for value but having seen (and somehow resisted the temptation) for the PM80 waffle it would be s difficult choice. I'm planning to visit an AD here in the UK over the weekend so hopefully I'll have the chance to see both quartz and PM 80 versions side by side an on the wrist. Will I be able to resist? If the second hand alignment is good I could be tempted to go home with the quartz version.
