Hearing Leon speak Spanish is very satisfying. Ada describes him as "practically a genius" in og RE4 and it was always a shame the game isn't clear if he actually understands Spanish or not

It's great that he did...but it sounded about as authentic as my reading French out loud--no authenticity to the accent at all. Lol. I'm going to assume he was supposed to understand it at least a little, or else why ask in Spanish, only to get a Spanish ans you don't understand anyway?

I think og leon understands a bit in the beginning when leon speaks to the villager, the villager yells in spanish "What the hell are you doing here? Get the hell out of here asshole!" And leon chuckles and said sorry to bother him.

Actually Karauser had roots in spain so Leons probability of knowing spanish would be from Krauser. Tho i wouldnt compare remakes, OGs and so called "canon books".

Leon in Resident Evil kinda reminds me of Pierce Brosnan's James Bond, maybe cause they're both governmental agents , who use some gadgets (Leon only use a knife, a grapple and high-tech binoculars, and he solve his problems with guns and martial art moves unlike Bond who used more fantasist stuff) , they can be pretty brutal in their fighting moves, they escape deadly situations with class, and of course , their dry humor with their one-liners they said to relax tense atmospheres ah and don't reply me with toxic negativity please
